Does exactly what it says on the tin! It's quiet and effective, even during the day.There's a ton a fruit flies where I live, and they can become a nuisance quickly, since they fit through all of the window screens.I've tried multiple "home remedies" to catch fruit flies, but most are inefficient and unsightly - some, even smelly. Now that I have the zapper, I can finally leave the windows open without worrying about an infestation a couple hours later.It's taken a couple weeks of use, but it seems like the local fruit fly population has finally diminished enough that I don't encounter them much more in my home. This thing attracts them pretty well on its own; even better if you put some food on the catcher tray. Note that wet food you put on the tray will dry out from the UV rather quickly.It comes with a cleaning brush, preattached hanging hooks, a strap, a chain, a pair of extra bulbs, and a UV test card. I've been using mine almost nonstop for 3 months and it's still pretty bright. I might post an update when the preinstalled bulbs finally give out if I don't forget to.Overall, I'm super happy with it. It's a fairly priced and elegant solution to a seemingly minor but really annoying problem.

It’s a great size and zaps all the flies that get in. I have it by my back door and I live in Florida so they always sneak in. I haven’t been getting bitten as much ever since I bought this. The zap scares me sometimes lol but I’d rather that than a bunch of unwanted bites as I watch tv and cook !

I live in a rural area where a lot of neighbors have livestock thus there are a lot of flies. I've had this unit running non-stop for about 3 months now. I use it on a table top rather than hanging it on a wall so the insects can access it from both sides. It catches a lot of house flies. I love the satisfying sound of one getting zapped. The catch tray is easy to access and clean and while this unit doesn't attract every fly that makes it into my house, it gets a lot of them. More than I expected. I use a Bug-A-Salt to get the stragglers. LOL!

We saw this product on a wall in a restaurant in Mendoza Argentina and KNEW that it was exactly what we needed! We've got horses near the house and it seems that horses and flies (bitey flies!) just go together. We've tried swatting them, zapping them with an electric flyswatter and everything else you can imagine, and we broke a lot of things (dishes, plants, etc.) trying to get them all. At times we've had 30 or more flies in the kitchen and it's been a full time job to eliminate them. We also get mosquitos here which can carry some nasty diseases, so we try never to go to bed with them in the house. This little device is awesome though! Yesterday was a bad fly day so we got to try it out immediately. Took a few hours to attract and zap them all because of the sunlight in the kitchen (attracts better when it's the only light source), but in the end we had clear air and a neat little tray of dead flies that we could empty out. I'm sold on this thing!BTW, the vendor is just awesome! Being in Chile as we are, we had ordered the 110V 60Hz US model thinking that we could use it with a transformer for our 220V 50Hz power. It works fine, but the bulky and heavy transformer makes it awkward to use, so we really wanted the 220V 50Hz version which is not on Amazon US. So we contacted the US Vendor (geckoman LLC in beautiful Sheridan, WY), and they graciously agreed to hook us up with their European counterpart who will be shipping us two of the 220V 50Hz models for use in Chile. We'll then take the the 110V model back to the US with us for use there this coming summer. What a great company!!!

I’ve only had this in place for around 36 hours but it has killed more tiny flies in my RV than my last bug zapper killed in a month. I’m considering buying a second one just because it’s so effective. I’m just guessing it’s because of the dual light system that it has. I’ve only heard it zap twice but when I open the dead bug tray there were many many flies. Now I open that dead bug tray with great satisfaction. I also appreciate the fact that it comes with a spare bulb for each type of light. I have no idea if it works on the big houseflies but it works fabulously on fruit flies and gnats. It’s a little bigger than I thought it would be. But the functionality outweighs its “That’s no moon, it’s a bug zapper.” size. The tray is very easy to remove clean and replace. I submitted a picture of the tray with four dead fruit flies in it. That’s just what it got while we were at church. It’s really doing a great job.

Das Gerät ist robust, hat genügend Montagezubehör und auch ein Satz Ersatzleuchtröhren, was sehr löblich ist. Der Elektrodenabstand ist recht groß, sodass kleine nervende Schädlinge wie Fruchtfliegen da leider nicht erfasst werden. Anhand einer anderen Rezension zu diesem Gerät hatte ich dieses bestellt, ist dafür aber nicht geeignet. Größere Insekten wie Schnaken und Wespen werden erfolgreich "Getoastet".

Kein Knallen sondern ein Surren wenn Insekten in die Falle fliegen. Endlich kein halben Herzinfarkt mehr. Durch das genial abgestimmtes Lichtspektrum haben sich kaum nach dem Einschalten die Ersten Flieger verirrt. Preis/Leistung Top. Endlich eine vernünftige Insektenfalle.

As title states - does the job well!Perhaps the zap power is a bit low as the flies don't get obliterated instantly and instead get stuck and starts frying for a few seconds, but - flies aren't flying away after!Unit came well packages and it even came with spare bulbs! Great value for price, can't recommend enough.
