This item works great and is extremely well made.

Worked as advertised. Well built!

Easy tap off 10" round sheetmetal duct. Placed where needed and outlined inner hole to cut w/ Sharpie. Made 4 diagnonal cuts with angle-grider metal-cut wheel, then sheet-metal snips between them. Fit well to 10" duct and rubber seal was tight against ID of 6" round duct, though still used tape and latex duct sealant.

Positive: great quality, great product. Negative (not a reflection of the product it’s self): I was doing a run off from 7” duct and bought this run-off to conect a 4” duct, off of a 7” duct. The rounded part that will connect to what ever you are connecting it to is curved to fit ONLY a 4” duct. So if you are running of a new 4” from existing round metal 4” duct, this is good, any bigger, the curved part doesn’t fit. Amd this is very strong metal (not aluminum), so it won’t budge to make it work. NOW! Im stubborn, and with some huge needle know straight and 90* pliers, hammer, patience, and few other tricks, i re-rounded the curvature to fit into a 7” duct, but had to do follow up work. Used rubber seal from another duct run-off I bought, screws, and that special paste to seal around when connected. So I made it work, but it was a lot of extra work (again, not a fault of this product if you buy it for running off a 4” out of 4” duct). Problem is, this was the only 4” run-off collar ANYWHERE on the market or in stores. So you might have to do the work i did.

After rejecting several similar items that were all made in the PRC, I was fortunate to find this item, which is made by Europlast in Latvia, and it exceeds my expectations in every way! Europlast manufactures brilliantly designed ventilation components that are made to the highest European standards, and they are leaders in sustainability. The finish of the item I bought is outstanding, and it fills a need in modifying a Swedish Bahco ventilation system in our Danish Trelleborg house in a way that saves hours of work and frustration. I recommend anything made by Europlast that you may find on Amazon--you won't be disappointed!

Having thrown away a lot of waste material over the years, I can appreciate an efficient, material-saving solution. Ordinarily I would cut a 6" round to length (and throw away ~1/2 of it), then install a Tee. With the Saddle Tee I can use 5' full lengths of 6" round and place Saddle Tees wherever I need them, and as many as I want. They take up very little space (8" of length along the pipe) and are easy to install with steel 1/8" pop rivets, at half the price of a full Tee.
