It definitely improved the life and longevity of the color. I use it with regular nail polish and dry under the gel light and it stays on for 3 weeks just like my gel salon work and removes much easier.

This LED-activated gel base coat serves its intended purpose. Am I unhappy that it's so expensive? Maybe. But it's the same price here as everywhere else, so I'll just shut up now. lol. I have just used this with an LED lamp also purchased on this website. Polish appears to be doing as it should, I will know in 2 weeks how long it really lasts (I believe it will). And my nails do look extremely nice, HOWEVER I only rated this as liking it, because the instructions on both the base coat and top coat say nothing about what a "nail cleanser pad" is. Nor does the sales ad say you have to have them. After sitting with sticky nails, trying to google what to do, to remove sticky residue[...] Too bad Sally Hansen PRESUMES that everyone has nail cleaning pads, or knows what they are. Then I had to attempt to locate and open bottle to clean nails. Would have been nice to know this up front. Shipping Superfast, much faster than expected. Would buy from this seller again.

My grandmother gave me her Sally Hansen gel kit/light and polish set over 7 years ago and I am not kidding you, it has held up and stood the test of time and plenty of use. I love the gel manicure but the products are getting harder to find, which I always find so odd when a product works so well. Thank God for Amazon. I hope Sally Hansen doesn't discontinue this line.

I have terribly soft nails. As I've grown older some nails are now splitting lengthwise. Sally Hansen Pro-Gel has been my only solution for many years. My nails don't hurt any longer and can grow. I use the ultraviolet lighting lamp for one minute which hardens and dries the application quickly. Then I use alcohol wipes over the freshly applied top coat which removes the stickiness. I can immediately go about my activities. The application lasts about 2 weeks. I haven't needed to use any chemicals to remove. The natural procession lets it peel of easily at that time only. Love it and praying Sally Hansen will be available forever.

I love Sally Hansen gel polish but the base and topcoat just don't seem to prevent chips as well as other brands.

I purchased the full gel kit years ago, and I'm glad to see individual bottles (base cost, polish color, and top coat) for sale. The base coat was the first to become empty for me.The base coat goes on easy and stays on with proper prep for a week or more for me. Removal is not as easy unless you soak it off, but I don't prefer that method. I usually peel off the layer. I wear very light polish so it isn't as noticeable when it begins to peel.
