It works well with an old 2019 HP Ryzen 3 desktop too
I'd give it a 5 if they offered a bracket to mount the GPU steady. I can't speak to whether or not the m.2 adapter adapter works either. I ran the supplied oculink cable to a PCI Express card with an oculink port. Powered the GPU with a spare 500watt PSU I had laying around doing nothing. So now my old HP desktop running a ryzen 3 with a 90 watt PSU and a 2060 super 8 gb ddr. I ran Stray on it to see how the opening scene looks. It doesn't stutter with the PCI card installed. I will probably post a video when ai gets my set up less messy looking. Offer a bracket! You know what? It worked. Better than I expected. 5 stars.

Adds a TON of performance to my ROG Flow x16 2022 with an RX 6700xt!
Y'know it's weird, gpuz says it's only running at pcie 3.0 x4, but the real world performance gains I'm seeing from using it with a used 6700xt i got for 250 instead of my laptops mobile 3060 is craaaaaazy. I can finally play half life Alyx comfortably, and max settings at that, every game I've thrown at it runs at 100fps or more on my ultrawide 1440p monitor with max settings. I bought an open pc case on amazon that interfaced perfectly with the mounting holes on this board and it feels super sturdy. I never could get my gtx 1650 to work with this board (driver issues and many BSoDs) but it was nearly hitchfree using AMD. I just had to disable the igpu, install new drivers from amds website, then re-enable the igpu, absolutely no problems. To cut the hole in my laptops casing I used double sided tape to mark the spot then carefully cut with a dremel. I filled the port with painters tape then filed it down with my dremel so it doesn't stick out too far, worked like a charm!Incredibly satisfying purchase, and i feel like such a giganerd having this thing. JUST DO IT!!

Runs at PCI-e gen 4.0 x4 speed!
Beat my expectations. This host adapter is at the heart of my retrofit of an old thunderbolt eGPU into a much faster oculink box. Ran the PCI-e bandwidth tester and verified it was averaging 7.05GB/s (60.6gbit/s). Tried it with 3 different machines (using the m.2 slot on a framework laptop, as well as the on-board oculink slots of both an Aoostar gem12 8845hs and a GPD Win Max 2 8840u). It ran perfectly on all 3. $40 very well spent.

First slot is missing 2/4 lanes, so only 6 available.
I needed this to set up 2 U.2 drives in a PC. Long story short, it only did 4x2x on the first slot. I did not test the second slot as it was in an electrically 8x slot. Bought other cables to rule out the issue as well. Was a frustrating evening. I'd stay away if you are trying to do that config.

Works with an hp eilte desk 800 g4 and a amd rx 580
It was a little fiddly and there were no real instructions. Works only after setting up a second monitor and a reboot. This is really the only way to do an eGPU faster than usb 4 and thunderbolt 4
