Apragaz - Bar Valve Shower Fixing Kit
I have a new thermostatic shower bar ready and waiting to be installed when I get a spare hour, so picked up this little fixing kit to make things a little easier. In the kit you get 2 x brass mounting brackets that you screw to the wall (usually 150mm apart, depending on the shower). You can then pass the 15mm feeds through the back of the fixing and then screw on the 3/4" BSP fittings. Your thermostatic shower bar will then attach directly to the new fitting. You also get 2 round shrouds to cover up the mounting, although the ones included with your shower should also fit fine.***** In The Box *****2 x Brass Brackets2 x 3/4" BSP Thread Fittings2 x Copper Olives2 x Shrouds4 x Screws and Wall Plugs***** Conclusion *****I have fitted quite a few thermostatic showers in the past few months and find this type of simple fixing bracket tends to make the job easier than when using the offset fittings that are ususally supplied with the shower. The quality seems to be pretty much identical to the other brands I have used and the price is about average, making this good value for money and definitely worth considering if you have a shower to fit.

Easy 1st Fix!
These 1st fix plates make life really easy when installing a thermostatic bar mixer and remove the specific need for the pattressing. They will fit 15mm pipework protruding directly from the wall at any centre spacing required. The only let down is the quality of the shrouds which are very flimsy and of thin construction not a show stopper as when fully fixed and sealed you can’t really tell but they will miss-shape easily on an uneven surface. For the cost great value….you could pay double this for an equal at a diy or trade outlet!
