I am really pleased with this Fire Mountain Smoker BBQ - its the first electric Pellet BBQ I have ever bought and although it is more expensive than a std gas BBQ I think it is well worth the money. Its so easy to use, it has a digital display so you can set the temperature you want and leave it to cook. So you are not having to stand over it all the time to stop things getting burnt or undercooked. The cooking area is really big too so you can cook lots of different things at the same time. It comes with 2 food temperature probes so its also easy to check the food is cooked through. I've used gas BBQ before this and the gas cylinders are now so expensive and there's always the worry it will run out half way through cooking - but all you do is plug this one in.I used the wood pellets that are sold by Fire Mountain and they gave the food a nice smoky flavour - I was a bit worried the smokiness might be a bit overpowering, but it definitely wasn't. I'm only a beginner with it - but I've cooked whole chicken and Pork joint as well as burgers and sausages and everything was really delicious. I'm really looking forward to trying out more things.I found it easy to clean - the cooking racks are enamel coated and scrub clean, and it comes with a drip tray that channels all the fat/juices into a bucket that hangs underneath - and that worked well to stop the fat escaping and dripping down the BBQ.It did need some assembly but the instructions were easy enough to follow and with the parts and screws marked up - and it got delivered a day early!If you enjoy cooking outdoors then it is worth investing in one of these - definitely the best BBQ I have ever owned.
