Not what I expected.
I am very bothered that the packaging has plastic, and what's even worse for me is that there's no recycling sign anywhere on the packaging stating which kind of plastic it is. Please include that in your description. And above that, many of the brushes are very bad quality which leaves them useless.

Satisfying quality
These are my very first set of eco friendly toothbrushes. I am confident to say that I am considering to continue to support bamboo brushes. I was skeptical at first, as eco friendly products at times dwindle in quality that we’re accustomed to minimize impact to the environment. These toothbrushes, however, are not the case. The quality feels very high. The bamboo finish is very smooth and slick. It’s very lightweight but also very strong and sturdy. It doesn’t bend as many plastic toothbrushes often do.The bristles also surprised me. I had the impression it wouldn’t hold up to my rigorous brushing habits on a daily bases. They hold up quite well. These are soft bristles rather than firm. Soft are supposed to be better for your teeth and enamel. The only con, which doesn’t really matter to me now, is the size of the brush head. It is smaller than what I was used to using. After about a week of use, I got accustomed to the head size. I still get a great quality cleaning, so that did not impact my score at all.Overall, I do highly recommend these. It is a great way to reducing the use of plastics. I never considered the impact plastic toothbrushes have on the environment. If every person goes through several brushes a year, that is an insane amount of plastic causing havoc to our planet and ocean. This is a great product to support in doing your part to reducing the use of plastic.

One Star
Toothbrushes are supposed to be tossed after the brushes fray. That happens in about 1 week with these.

Learning Curve Ahead, But Still a Good Brush
I love, love, love, love the idea that this brush won't live forever in a landfill, as well as using a sustainable resource like bamboo. For those who have grown up with the lasered commercial toothbrushes, there's an adjustment regarding the mouth feel. It's a little blockier than the grocery store toothbrushes and if you've got sensory issues, the switch between a non-porous to a porous surface might be a challenge. Me, I liked the sustainable ideal well enough to push myself through the adjustment period of a day or two. My daughter, who sold me on these, struggled a bit with learning how to angle her brush to get into some of the less prominent surfaces of her teeth, but says that she's getting the hang of it.These are still new, but I'll post back after we've discovered the end of the lifespan of the brush. Lookin' good so far.

Guests are in love
I have many airbnb properties where I leave toothbrushes. I thought these brushes looked super cool and started including them as gifts for my guests at my properties. Literally everyone is in love with them that they tell me about it all the time. Thanks Avistar!

Purchased this brand last month bc I like the idea of getting 20 at a time
I’ve been buying bamboo toothbrushes for several years now. Purchased this brand last month bc I like the idea of getting 20 at a time. Not impressed with this brand. The bristles are way too stiff.

Good idea, not so great in execution
Having a recyclable toothbrush was something that really appealed to me. Until I bought and used some. I didn’t think it through all the way, as 1) I can’t recycle wood in my area, 2) wood takes forever to dry out, which means when these toothbrushes are always damp, 3) I hadn’t noticed how small these are. So, these are very average toothbrushes, but then add in the fact that toothbrushes that never dry out will harbor bacteria… Yeah, I used one of these and donated the rest. I’m not willing to use a toothbrush that poses so many problems. I hope some company comes up with a better idea.

texture of the bamboo handle in your mouth is really unpleasant
I thought this would be a lightweight and ecological choice for a toothbrush. Sadly, the texture and feel of the bamboo handle in your mouth is really unpleasant. It feels as if you might get a splinter at any moment. Don't buy these if you are even remotely sensitive to textures/sensations.
