Upgraded Commercial Ice Maker Machine 160LBS/24H with 35LBS Storage Bin, 15Inch Wide Ready 11-20 Mins Under Counter/Freestanding Stainless Steel Large Ice Machine

OK I will make this as short as possible but provide as much detail as I can.We were replacing an ice maker in our home in a controlled environment. The other one was a different manufacturer and was worn out.We decided to give the Gilati a try for the money it was priced well. We ordered it and it arrived a day early. So this seller has fast shipping. The box was in good shape and not damaged.We removed the old one and installed the Gialti. It did come on but would not make ice. In fact it never got cold to the touch. My guess was it had lost all the freon.I made contact directly with the seller to ask for a replacement unit. Tina was the customer service representative that handled all our questions through responsive emails..She asked for our Amazon order number and a short video of the water running in the ice maker and I answered a few other questions about what we had tried.In very short time Tina advised we would indeed need a replacement unit and provided the information for us to get that going.Amazon ordered a new unit through Tina and it too got here at our home a day early. In fact I know there is no way they could have got the previous unit back yet since I had just taken it to the return facility the afternoon before.We connected the replacement unit and it is making ice just as it is supposed to. Tine has even followed up with us to make sure we provide the information to set up the warranty for the new unit.We are very happy with this seller and their customer service is the best we have ever received from buying anything on Amazon and will but from them again.The unit works as described and makes great small square ice cubes. You can even change the setting for the ice to be thinner or thicker so it last longer. The ice is clear and the unit does shut off when the storage compartment is full. If the compartment needs more ice the units starts up and fills it back up.This is a great unit.NOTE: The unit is EXACTLY 15" wide and when the door opens due to the way it is mounted is takes a little more room than 15". About 1/4' more width But- It does fit in our 15" space as advertised.

Removing the protective covering from the stainless steel was tedious and required me to disassemble the machine to get it all off. Expect to make a trip to the hardware store to collect necessary fittings to connect to the water supply, especially if you desire to install an in-line water filter for the best ice quality. Very happy with the amount and quality of ice produced, and the count-down timer of the cycle is a great feature. The cascading water over the freezer cube tray during the ice-making cycle does spatter on to the window and causes some of the existing ice to get wet and melt. As a result this machine can be a water hog: 2/3rds of the water is turned into ice; 1/3rd goes down the drain. Be sure you have a good way to deal with the condensate/ice melt, either with a floor/gravity drain, or an external catch basin w/ float switch and electric pump. I purchased this unit to replace an existing in-home wet bar unit, which only lasted 3 years before flaking out. This unit was 1/2 the cost and is working very well. I reused the existing "sump pump" for the condensate/melt that was purchased and plumbed for the original unit.

Well, not the cheapest thing but far from the most expensive. Works fine. Worth the money. Trick is to keep the float and valve clean. I bought the expensive one, a Scotsman, and it was nothing but trouble. So I am happy with this and can recommend it.Update...Well bought one in 2022 and it is still working fine, BUT the fill tube inside the machine split, water gushing for hours until discovered. Fortunately the external fill tube is very long so I cut a piece of that and replace the internal line.So my only complaint is about the internal fill tube, and the external drain tube which is the same low end material.I would ask the manufacturer to use better materials there.Else it is still running well.Make sure you give it a good cleaning periodically, especially the float valve assembly,

We definitely love the machine, however It does not store or produce what was advertised. On a good day, I can fill a 10 lb bag from the ice that was kept in the storage bin before it said "full". The 35 lbs is the measurement of the entire volume of the storage bin... Which it never reaches because it triggers the "full* lever before. I purchased this machine because I thought the 160 lb a day would be better. On the thickest settings, I'm probably only getting 60-80 lbs a day if I keep up with emptying the bin.The ice that is produced is great, and for most households this machine would be sufficient. However, for somebody who is relying on a certain poundage of ice, this might not do what you want.The customer service was responsive and is in the process of making things right with me for what I felt was misleading advertisement. I'll let you know if they follow through.For me, integrity is important and accurate advertisement really speaks volumes. I gave this four stars because I think the advertisement should be fixed.

I rarely leave reviews, but felt obligated to do so for this ice machine. The customer service is unbelievable (in a good way). The first machine only worked for a day and then wouldn't get cold enough to make ice. A service rep, Tina, was in constant contact with suggestions and tips (that didn't work) to find a resolution. After a few failed attempts, she sent a replacement that arrived a few days later. The new ice maker works great! Makes a ton of ice in just a few hours. The constant communication is greatly appreciated! Thank you Tina!
