Same as original
Direct replacement for original hand brake. Works like the original, and was not too difficult to replace. Do plan on replacing the handle grip. I tried everything to remove it, and resorted to cutting it off. Tools used, #2 Phillips screwdriver, small adjustable wrench, pliers, wire cutters, and a utility knife to cut the grip off.

No Instructions but easy to Replace
Product shipped quickly, Received it two days earlier. This was GREAT because we had global warming coming down here, that funny white stuff end of April. Prefect time to work on Mom's Cadillac 😊.Needed to fix my Mom's Drive Medical Rollator (rolling walker). She used the left brake handle to lift herself out of the rollator, broke the locking mechanism. Not good when the right side locks and the left side doesn't. Kinda goes in a circle when you want it locked.Took about 45 minutes to exchange the left brake. Most of the time was used to get the left handle grip off of the handle bar. Needed to use channel pliers and paper to rotate the handle grip off. Sliding the broken brake assembly off and the new one on was easy. Attaching it to the wheel brake, requires that the bottom lock screw be taken off, pull out the old cable and spring, take the new cable and spring and place it back where you took out the old one. Note, you need the cable running through the spring and boot for the mechanism to function. The next step is where I cheated. Used an Irvin 8" F-Clamp, brake handle (on the handle bar) was left open (unlocked), placed the F-clamp between the wheel spokes and the wheel brake mechanism. Tightened the F-clamp until it was tight on the wheel. NOTE Brake on handle bar is unlocked. Tightened the locking screw on the collar, released the F-CLAMP, Brake mechanism released enough to allow the wheel to turn freely. The brake handle on the handle bar was pushed down, locked better than new. Spend the next 15 minutes putting the left handle gripe back onto the bar. Know that it has to be tight, that was the longest time for the whole process.

Repaired my mother in law's walker with this.
Worked well to repair my mother in law's walker. It's not terribly hard to install, but I also have a background in bicycle repair. It might be a challenge for someone who doesn't like to tinker.
