CHEF All Natural Shellfish Stock, 1 Litre

Exactly right for a shellfish stew, or whatever fancy name you want to title it!

Great stock and perfect if you don't have the prawn heads but a shame that it doesn't come in a screw top jar. Important for those of us who dont use a full pack in one go.

I was amazed at the quality of this stock - and made our paella everything a good one should be. I had also made a small amount of stock the traditional way of using shellfish heads, brandy and wine - and have to say, the carton contents smelled and tasted nearly as good with an amazing depth of flavour. Don't waste money on supermarket 'shellfish' or fish stocks

I bought this to make lobster bisque, but was very disappointed in the lack of flavour.I've made lobster bisque every Christmas Eve for several years, and had previously used a grocery shop-bought fresh, chilled, stock. The shop discontinued their product this year and when I saw this on Amazon, it looked like an ideal replacement.It smelled amazing while it was cooking, but the taste just wasn't the same as the stock I've always used. It didn't taste "lobstery" at all and was very bland. Sadly, it's probably down to it being a long-life ambient product, rather than freshly made.Next Christmas, I think I'll just have to make stock from scratch!

I love making seafood risotto, but making the stock is very fiddly! Decided to try a commerce one and plumbed for Chef All Natural shellfish stock.......it is FANTASTIC!! Will definitely recommend it and will be reordering soon. It's not worth making your own stock when you can buy one of this quality and its a good price too.

....will not repurchase.....and once opened only lasts a few days so all but a tiny amount went down the drain.

I made a crab bisque with this stock. Beautiful flavour which did not over power. Expensive but worth it for a special occassion

Ich verwende den Fond als Basis für Suppen und Soßen dafür ist er sehr gut.Die Verpackung finde ich etwas unpraktisch, weil wenn angebrochen, dann sicher nicht mehr lange haltbar.Ich portioniere den Fond in kleinere Mengen und friere ihn ein, so habe ich immer die passende Menge parat.
