Quality, Quality, Quality.... Need I say more?
Cable Matters is the the absolute best quality cables you can buy. They go the extra mile so things work perfectly every time. Don't settle for cheap junk when you can get quality cables for pretty much the same price. If you know, you know. Thank you!!

Great quality cables, high grade wires did not heat up or give me power problems at all
The workstation I'm repurposing as a gaming rig has only one GPU power cable, and my graphics card needs two, so this cable was exactly what I needed to power the second connector to get it going. I have had cheap adapters of this kind heat up and even melt before because they weren't really proper high gauge wire, and so I tested this HARD with benchmarks stressing my GPU to make sure it held up under full load. At about 180W max draw my GPU is not a light card to power, and yet these cables didn't even get warm, just excellent reliability. Gaming for hours long sessions since then I've never had any issues at all, so I'm very satisfied that this is really good wire and quality, and I absolutely recommend these cables if you need another 6+2-pin PCI-e connection!

Great for low end cards in low end systems
Needed to add a 6 pin PCIe power adapter for a card In an older PC. This worked great, but I wouldn't use this in place of a better PSU on a more power hungry card.

Not for Power hungry cards
This is a great way to add a GPU to OEM business type or desktop like an optiplex or something. I just would highly recommend not running a power hungry card off of this adapter since sata connectors and typically the power supply rails they're connected to sometimes are not able to handle anything separately but this should be taken case by case. Typically though with the way gpu sizes are increasing, if it doesnt fit in your OEM case, it probably shouldn't be running off these type of adapters either lol. Overall pretty good though, they work great so far for my little 1060 I put into a smaller optiplex so that my cousin could play minecraft and fortnite. 10/10 product!

SATA to 6/8 Pin Like Magic
Older power supplies tend to not have enough 6/8 pin adapters for modern video cards (or any) and this helps remedy that situation. This is NOT a recommendation to run an underpowered supply on a high-end card (ala 3080/4080/7900, etc.), but a way to connect a card that needs a second 6/8 pin connector when your power supply only has one. Sacrificing a SATA power adapter worked well on the 2070 Super I used for testing (there seems to always be extras anyway). I was able to get the card up and running on an older power supply and play games without any issues. Does the job I needed it to well!
