Protective
I bought these for a spartan race. They have a good grip and protected my hands during a army crawl under barbed wire.

I like them, little stiff and snug around wrist but great for pull days.
They are a little snug but for a workout glove thats kind of what I want. The grips are good and useful and having used a while now and washing them a few times still all intact and the gloves overall still look pretty new. They can tend to be a little stiff from the back of hand and knuckle guards on the back and the wrist can be a bit snug from the wrap and velcro. The wrist would be better a half or quarter inch further down for me but isn't too problematic. These gloves have been great for pull days and helpful on bench workouts, overall I like them.

Half-Finger Gloves That Are Not for Everyone
As far as half-finger gloves to protect my hands, I wouldn't rate these the best. They are fairly well-made, but the fabric is a little loose and bunches up. It provides medium grip. I have to say that the wrist straps, designed to wrap around my wrists, do secure well with the velcro. However, the only problem is that the length of the glove doesn't seem to be long enough to go around to the base of my palm or actually wrap around my wrist. It's like half on my palm and half on my wrist, which is weird. I'm sorry, but these are not for me. I'm an adult who wanted to have a glove that would protect my hands that I could use while lifting free weights and outdoor stuff like climbing, but these won't work for me in either situation. Not thrilled.

Good gloves...
Mud gear OCR gloves are really nice to have especially when I'm moving different boxes or heavy-duty things. Also, if I just want to wear something to protect my hands or my tendons throughout my fingers. I love the fact that it improves the grip and it does make my performance increase as well. It's not a super heavy feeling, it's just the right touch and it helps with all the things that I need with my CrossFit journey as well.

Really, really bad
I almost never give a 1 star rating, but these gloves fail at every level:They offer no protection. They look terrible. They do not fit any human hand. They're poorly designed and made from cheap materials. So, for starters, the only protection offered is in the form of 3 strips and 1 dot of plastic intended to cover your knuckles, but they don't align properly and instead sit in between them. The wrist strap for fastening them doesn't reach it's fastening point, not even close. The ends of the fingers aren't hemmed at all, so they look bad and will fall apart immediately (and the pieces of fabric don't even line up).The palm has no protection at all and is the thinnest material I've ever see in a glove.Seriously, if you're getting gloves for ANY reason, be that looks, motorcycling, sports, punching things, anything, don't get these ones.

A great option for Spartan races
The MudGear OCR Gloves have been good training gloves during my Spartan race training. They've proven their worth, especially during rope climbs and pull-ups over the past month. These gloves strike a fantastic balance between hand protection and grip, allowing me to maintain a good feel thanks to their open fingertips. While the grip is decently tacky, I do wish it had a tad more stickiness. The fit is spot-on, and the wrist wraps are a nice touch. However, I'm curious about their long-term durability.Pros:Effective hand protection during intense workouts.Maintains a good feel with open fingertips.Decent grip with just the right amount of tackiness.Comfortable fit for extended training sessions.Included wrist wraps add support.Cons:Concerns about long-term durability.Slightly increased tackiness would be a welcomed improvement.

Built to last
The media could not be loaded. These gloves gives me so much security when I wear them to the gym! The three areas of Velcro gives me peach of mind that while I’m working out I’m protecting my body!Because of the material these gloves can withstand rigid wear and tear and will definitely last for a very long time.
