Disappointed.
So where do I actually start!!!!Instructions very basic but understandable. Easy to install and easy to set up. However the description claims the cameras are HD?First of all the front camera resolution is a very poor quality HD. It’s that bad you can just about make out a car number plate when following a car but you have to be fairly close behind the car The camera really doesn’t handle sunlight very well either.Secondly the rear camera the resolution really can’t be called HD at all. It too suffers with any form of direct sunlight on it so at night it’s next to useless. It also films everything with a mirror effect. When I finally managed to find a way of playing back the footage (explain more in a minute) it was like I was actually driving on the wrong side of the road!!!! It was only when other cars went past you could see they too were on the “wrong side of the road” too so you could make sense of the footage. The “SOS” shock sensor that locks the clips of video when the unit detects a jolt such as in a accident is seriously too sensitive. Default is set to medium so I left it on that which resulted in a 32Gb SD card filled up with locked files so the unit couldn’t record any new video, I managed to delete all the files and I then set the sensitivity to “low” but still it was too sensitive. I have now just turned the setting off in the hope it finally does what its supposed to do and record 3 minute video clips then will over write the oldest videos with new clips. Will take a look this weekend to see if that finally works. FInally they fail to mention that if you use IOS or Mac then you wont be able to view the files even when you download a player that will let you view AVI files. Managed to copy the files onto my work laptop which uses Windows 10 but even that was a struggle. Windows media player let me view some of the files. The rest of the files it said were corrupted. My returns window is still open with Amazon until 01/07/18 but This would mean I would now have to uninstall the system off the bike and given that I buried all the wires good and proper on the bike I really can;t be bothered. One day when I have to do some work on the bike I will get round to removing it, It also doesn’t;t help that I can;t find the box it came in. I have a feeling my partner threw it away so one way or the other I just wasted £30. Shame really because the unit is small and neat. Just not up to the job at all. Worth £30? Nope. I have read that there is an updated version so maybe that one is better. If your choosing between this one or the updated version go t=for the updated version. Maybe that one is better. If your using OIS or Mac then ask the seller beforehand if it is comparable with IOS or Mac. Might save you time and money later.
