Industripet 10125 Orange Slodog Slow Feeder Plate

My bulldog is a speed eater so Ive been trying to find a slow feeding bowl that would work with his short muzzle. I bought one type on Amazon that said 'for short nose breeds such as bulldogs'. But it didnt work because my little guy couldnt reach the food. I should note-my bulldog is a puppy, and a runt so, I'm pretty sure the reason that bowl didnt work is because it was for 'adult bulldogs only'. Which was not stated in the description. This slow feeding plate DOES work for my little guy. The plate itself is really big, but thats because you spread the food on it. It has little square indentions that hold the food, so the dog has to move to each square and lick the food out. My little guy still eats fast, but this slows him down enough that he doesnt choke on his food anymore. I would recommend this to anyone with a fast eating puppy, especially any smooshed faced breed owners.

My dog had an aversion to his stainless steel dog bowl for whatever reason, making meal times very time consuming and stressful. I noticed he would only eat his food if I placed it on the floor. I purchased this plate as a long shot hoping it would excite him to eat again offering a flat surface while making it more interesting. Thankfully it worked! Along with some other tactics (taking the food away after 20 minutes and not offering more until the following meal time), this plate got my stubborn picky eating pup excited about meals again.

After ordering quite a few of the "slow feeder" bowls, I have finally found the perfect one. I was a bit skeptical at first, I thought there was no way this is going to slow her down, but sure enough, it works perfect for my pup. There is no more gagging and heaving up dog food! Highly recommend!

I like the fact that this enables us to slow down the feeding process of our dogs. It is well built to make this process practical. I was disappointed that two of the foot pads were missing when I received the trays. Not worth effort to return to get new ones.

This thing is a lifesaver...literally. My shepherd can’t scarf her food down anymore!

I love this dog dish! My German Sherpherd used to eat his food too fast and end up gagging and choking on it. This dish has caused him to slow down and he no longer chokes! Wished they made it in a smaller size for my toy dogs.
