I have a side input Hayward DE filter. Hayward wants $425 for their pump. I had one leak after 1 year and my 5 year old pump has now got a bad bearing in the motor.This pump is half the price so I bought this plus the 4 year extended warranty.I am shocked at how quiet this pump is I hardly know it is running it is so quiet. I had to do some new plumbing to get it to the side input but it was no real problem. The compression fittings are also high quality and I loved working with them.

This pump is about 1/3 the price of the Hayward pump it replaced and fortunately for me, it has the same size fittings in the same location as the Hayward pump which made replacing it quick and easy. The pump is running fine so far so lets compare it to the Hayward it replaced.The size and fittings between them is the same in both size and location, and as said above, makes it a fairly easy replacement. The mounting plate is not exactly the same and required me to drill new holes in the filter base to mount it but that is not a big deal to meThe Hayward pump assembly is heavier than this one and and since the pump itself looks about the same, most of the added weight is in the motor. I would say that the Hayward motor is a heavier duty motor. The motor on this unit runs warm but not hot in low speed and cooler on high speed, probably due to the motors fan moving more air on high speed.The Hayward probably moves a bit more water than this pump in both speeds but really not enough to cut this pump down for it. Sound wise, they are about the same with this one slightly louder on low speed and slightly quieter on high. Either way, this pump runs quietly enough not to disturb anyone.The one true downside to this pump is its lack of real warranty. The only real warranty it has is Amazons return policy and the tag in the box actually says to deal with the seller for short term issues. They do offer a 1 year extended warranty but for most of us, it is completely useless. In order to activate it, you need to have the pump professionally installed. The price to have this done in many cases can wind up costing as much as the pump itself. If the pump does fail within this extended warranty, you need to send it shipping prepaid to the manufacturer. This means that you have to pay for shipping both ways. The cost of both the install and the shipping both ways would more than exceed the cost of just buying a new pump so effectively, there is no warranty past the Amazon return / exchange window.I honestly don't expect this pump to last as long as the Hayward pump it is replacing but at 1/3 the price, if it lasts half as long, it is still a bargain. If it fails before the season is over, I will update this review but as for now, it is doing what it was bought to do.

XtremepowerUS 1/2HP Pool Pump for Above Ground Swimming Pool 3240GPHI bought my first pump off Amazon, I bought it in July of 2023, installed it and it worked flawlessly for about 4 months (how convenient that it only had a 3-month warranty) I contacted the seller who told me to check the fuse and replace the battery. I did both and it still didn't work. I was told to call the manufacturer which you can only email because they take so long to respond. They told me the same thing, so by late December I basically gave up and decided to just eat it and buy another since they were reasonably inexpensive, (I figured I had just received a lemon by bad luck). This time I bought it from Home Depot thinking they would stand behind it on the off chance it went out again. I bought it in February and once again it worked flawlessly for about 4 months until the middle of June. Rinse repea,t same thing, they told me to change the battery and check the fuse. I did that and emailed them back and just like the first one no response after that. I think it's something with the circuit board, no light and no power. I went back to my 8-year-old Intex pump (old faithful) to get me through until the new Intex c2500 arrived. The C2500 has a 2-year warranty so even if it goes out at 2 years and 1 month it will have lasted 8 times longer than the ExtremepowerUS pumps have. The 8-year-old Intex pump I keep around to drain my 20 ft above ground pool and spa. If you want to buy this pump I suggest you buy the 2 year warranty otherwise stay away! Bad experience all the way around especially when dealing with the manufacturer. I have 1 pic of the 8-year-old pump that was better than both ExtremepowerUS pumps combined.

This pump was a bit of a learning curve. But once I had it down, it’s kept my pool sparkling without a cover all summer (proper chemical usage as well).It quickly helps to filter out debris. I have a 21 foot vinyl lined semi permanent above ground round pool. It’s best powerful, so you’ll need to fill your pool high enough to keep it from sucking in excess air.We used it end of year last year, and then upon opening this summer. I’m very happy with it. Paired it with a new 16” sand filter… and it’s been Chef’s Kiss good.

Had and issued with the pump being damaged in shipping. Call customer service 800# Spock to a real person and they handled the problem very quickly with out hesitation. The pump works wonderful really recommended this to any who is looking to upgrade or replace old.

Bought this at the near the end of season because my old one burned out. Runs way more quiet than my old Haywood. Like the two speeds but it is mostly used on high. Moves water with ease Great value for the money

Llegó en tiempo y muy bien empacado. funciono bien unas 2 veces , luego entro en modo de protección. solo daba algunas vueltas y se detenia. se conecto a un interruptor GFCI con la coneccion am tierra fisica indicada.

tres bonne pompe pour piscine et surtout le prix je vais voir comment d annee elle va marcher pour l instant elle fonctionne tres bien et j aime ca les deux vitesses avec ca elle est assez silencieuse tres bon achat
