Works great! I use it to hold my Kindle or iPad while I am walking on my treadmill. It would better if the base arm was about 12 inches taller as I do have to place the stand on a stool so that the arm that extends towards the treadmill is tall enough to go over the top of my treadmill dashboard. Other than that it works great. It securely holds iPad or Kindle. You just pull the tension sides and they hold the device tightly. It is easy to adjust and holds the position even with a heavy device like my iPad with it's protective case on it. It is lightweight so I can carry from room to room if I need to. The stand is made of metal and is durable with a matte black finish. The base is big enough that the stand doesn't tip over when the device is extended out. The part that holds the device is made of thick durable plastic.

Sturdy floor standing stand. Does exactly what we need it for. Angles change easily and stay, we use it for our home gym to follow along with instructional videos.

The stand’s arms and the actual tablet holding clamps are strong and durable but the base is not heavy enough to keep the stand upright when loaded. So far I have used it to hold my 10.9 in Kindle scribe and it does not stay upright on its own. I have placed 3 heavy textbooks on the base to keep it stable.

I am using this in the bedroom for my Kindle reader. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and superb functionality of this product. I set it up next to my nightstand and the base fits right under it. The arm is long enough to sit right next to my pillow as I read at night. It holds the Kindle reader snugly and allows for hands free use. I just shift the holder out of the way when I am finished reading for the night. I strongly recommend this and love it for its quality and sturdiness without being bulky. It would also work well for any tablet. One of my favorite Amazon purchases!

I really feel like Amazon should not allow sellers who sell defective products, repeatedly, to continue selling. I am just WORN OUT with fooling with returns on defective , poorly thought out merchandise! With that being said, I had high hopes for this product. It seems sturdy enough, but extender rod was faulty (didnt extend), and the screw that was designed to stop the whole, top apparatus from turning in place doesn't even reach the bar, so it can do it's job. So ANNOYING. I'm honestly about to just quit Amazon. Tired of subpar customer service (much worse than it used to be), and lack of any kind of quality control expectations for sellers. I feel like I have been constantly returning faulty products! It's just not even anything to get excited about when you do find a decent deal anymore. Then you have to return defective merchandise, so it can be resold??? I mean, REALLY!?!?!

UPDATED: I've now been using this stand for about 5 months. I'm sad to say that it just hasn't held up. While the part that grips my iPad is still as strong as ever and the upper ball joint has held up admirably, the other spring joints have not. My iPad sags all the way down as low as it can go, making the use of this stand pointless. I can't tighten up the wing nuts any more without breaking them. Time to try again! I've been looking for a stand to hold my 12.9" iPad pro when I'm lying in bed. I tried a number of them and none were strong enough to hold my iPad up for long. Then I found this stand. Finally! I've been using it for a month or more now and it's holding up perfectly. The stand is just as sturdy now as it was when I got it. It's highly adjustable and swings way out over my bed. I highly recommend it!

The 1st one I recieved was missing a part. Though after receiving conformation of return they immediately sent another one. I am very pleased with this item. I can use it for my Kindle, my phone, etc. Hands free anywhere you want to place this portable stand. It's sturdy, well made item with some weight to it to keep from toppling over. Recommend this item for anyone who has been looking into purchasing one. I might even order another later.
