Bought many expensive markers, these are my faves
I have bought many relatively expensive pens and this set delivers a whole lot in terms of color, stroke style, blending and ink performance. I also bought the Copic Sketch 36 set Special Edition for more price, which is awesome for a different style geared towards details, so it was worthwhile having both. The style of the Chartpaks is bolder and more broad-ranging, more "artistic" and to my taste, but seem more ideal for larger drawings. The artistic style that the Chartpaks have, and their ink performance, and the awesome nib, is unbeatable and worth the smell.Think of these more like paint brush marker, sort of like broad Watercolor but bolder, with capability for an excellent range of fine details as well. This is very different style than Copics, though both have their own awesomeness and their own style niche in my head. The nibs for the chartpaks are surprisingly awesome because they are strong and have at least four main parts to use: the very sharp tip, the side, and the opposite tip, and the bottom; plus, they allow for very nice blending simulating paint. You get a lot of natural control over the artistic output of the marks and color, which is crucial since markers in general produce bold lines but usually not as stylish as, say, a chalk mark. The nib absorves blended paint for a while, and cleans fast as well. In the sense of the wide range of mark and fill styles you can get, profesional markers such as Chartparks should be more valued in fine art, in my opinion; they have character... at least they're more convenient than buying a thousand expensive tools each for a different mark style which then may hamper direct bold creativity.Do you need 100 of these? Believe me, *yes*, its totally worth it. They are soo good you'll be very creative and quickly want to explore a wide artistic range even for simple sketches. The color selection is perfect. You get everything here: warm grays, cool grays, etc. How can you not use it all... Differently than the Copics set I got, which is more expensive and though very good and complementary to these, doesn't come with such a satisfying color selection.

Juicy and vibrant!
I can say after using alcohol based markers for a long time, it was definitely different a different experience coloring with these markers! What I love about these markers is that they are extremely juicy, bold, and vivid! When I say juicy, I really mean very juicy! They blend well with alcohol based markers and I use both kinds of markers together on various projects. Because these markers are so bold and juicy, I like to use them to cover large areas, while I use my Spectrum Noir or Copics for the smaller areas and details. I have owned these markers for a few months and covered several pages of artwork with these, and these are just as juicy as the day I got them. When I am using the Chartpak markers, it feels like my strokes are almost painterly and they blend together beautifully. So far I have collected about 80 of these markers, and they are a staple product for my marker drawings. The markers does have a strong odor, but I am not bothered by the smell at all. I think raising 5 animals in the home might have dulled my senses somewhat, lol! Just make sure to have a window open or be in a well ventilated area when coloring/painting with these markers. I've also heard that these are also compatible with their newest line, the Spectra AD markers, and I am super excited to try them out!

Pastel Markers
While they work very well, the smell up the whole house. Needs to be used outdoors or in a very well ventilated area. Sorry, I get dizzy when I breathe the fumes from the pens.

Muy buena calidad
Son muy buenos marcadores, la tinta es muy potente y, con un poco de práctica, se pueden eliminar las líneas de superposición. Son caros, pero vale la pena
