I had been looking for something like this for a long time. This served my purpose perfectly. There was no need to do any wiring and no need to disfigure the walls. Fully battery operated. Motion sensing works perfectly. Records promptly when motion is detected. Allows to view live through the app. Its been 2 and half months since purchase and currently battery is at 40%. Battery may not last upto 180 days as mentioned. However, even if lasts for 4 months without charge its really great. Performance is amazing.

Everthing is good about this product. However, as per Indian conditions with lots of visitors and movemnet around the main door, the battery may lastfor a shoter time. However, one feature is missing is that if anyone comes around/near the bell which means ther eis a movemnet, and if the person does not ring the Tapo, the alert should be thre. This feature needs to be added also. This is because since it is on battery and new , most of my visitors dont press the Tapo but use the old conventional door bell. May not be required for all conditions The integrationw ith Alexa is very good and overall the response tiem from ringing the Tapo doorbell to alert on mobile is fast and efficient. I will rate this FIVE STAR

A month in service, the hardest part of TP Link Tapo is the first setup. There wireless setup doesn’t work due to outdated firmware and demands a physical modem and wired ethernet connection! Most non-tech savvy people will find it hard to execute and the installation instructions aren’t easy to follow either. The battery is barely charged and needs at least 6 hours to get to 100%, also the charging port is a micro usb-b type adding another cable to my household out of the box. After getting the hub and camera paired, I placed the former in my room, added a micro SD card and attached the camera to my door using the 3M sticker provided in the package, which meant no drilling and adding screws to the door. The glue holds steady, as my unit is indoor and away from sun and weather. Within first day of use, the AI video capture was able to record all detected motion from people, cleaners and also one instance of a street dog breaking in to crew on trash. There are tons of customisation in the app, including detection zone, alexa or google home pairing and option to share the device access to more people. The video quality is quite crisp, I can easily distinguish faces upto 4m away and the wide angle lens provides a huge field of view. The bell comes with an instant response with option to video-call on your phone. The sound quality is decent and so is the video. However, there’s significant buffering when you want to watch the live view. Once it gets running, there’s no lag. For the price tag, it does an amazing job with a good value for money with added security.

Fail-proof and trustworthy product. Sends a video call on the phone immediately without delay when someone rings the bell. Both my wife’s and my phone are connected and both ring at the same time. Product’s app is very stable, easy to use and feature rich. Installation was a breeze. The only feature I wish was a power cord to the bell unit instead of the provided rechargeable battery. Makes me anxious looking at the battery going down from 100% to 98% while I was experimenting during the setup. Video quality is much better than what I expected. It is at par with surveillance cameras that one normally installs. Just go for it.

It works ok. Camera can be set to 2k but the video quality is not at all good but good compared to cctv. The design is bad because people don’t know where the bell button is at the first glance, even after putting the provided sticker that says press here, most people will press on the camera lens of other parts before pressing on the button as the button is not distinctive, it’s blended with the rest of the body for a cleaner look but IMO it’s dysfunctional. It’s not at all responsive, takes forever to load the live feed, or when someone presses the door bell, live feed takes at least 15 seconds to load. Even when going through recordings the cideos take 15-17 seconds to load initially. I would recommend you skip this for a better product as even the battery life is misleading, it will not last 6 months, my unit laster 25 days only before needing a charge, for it to last longer, you cannot use motion detection, only video on bell press should be on, and it should be set to power saving mode, so video quality will be like 3gp. Horrible experience. Apart from that, it’s functional, it’s not like I’m gonna stop using it but frankly, there is also NO RETURN option, replacement will also be not done by amazon but by TP-link service centre which you will have to visit and it’s only in the case of malfunction or defect.

The product was purchased May 2025. As of October 2025 it stopped syncing to the hub. As a camera bell it is good. But the company and the after sales is non existent... The email support is also useless. I have not received any response. It is still under warranty and yet i am facing this. So do not buy this, unless you want a paper weight

Pros:-Working like a charm. Cons:- (1) Impossible to initial setup wirelessly. Need to connect the hub once with RJ-45 ethernet with the router (thanks to Jio, my jio airfiber router had 4 ports). Also, the hub need to have power cable connected all the time. (2) No spare battery for the bell unit, 2nd day of use and the battery showing 94%. (3) Inital setup of hub is tricky (manual not very clear about it, first the hub need to be connected to router with ethernet, then 'use wireless' need to be selected from tapo app then add the bell.) else it won't work.

Le pack comprend : * Un module émetteur * Un récepteur * Une batterie * Câbles d’alimentation et de raccordement à la box Internet * Platine, chevilles et vis de fixation Pour l’installation, il faut raccorder le module récepteur à la box Internet (ports RJ45 à l’arrière). Cette dernière joue le rôle de Hub ; elle est obligatoire pour faire fonctionner la sonnette. On peut également insérer une carte micro SD à l’arrière du boîtier pour suivre les évènements du jour. Le module émetteur, quant à lui, s’installe à l’extérieur, avec ou sans la platine fournie. J’habite une maison ancienne et l’émetteur est à 15m environ du récepteur et de ma box Internet : cela fonctionne sans problème. La configuration est très simple, via l’application Tapo, compatible iOS et Android. Je possède plusieurs appareils Alexa (deux Echo Dot 4 et un Echo Show 8) et l’appairage avec la sonnette est automatique. Lorsque quelqu’un sonne à la porte, je reçois une notification sur mon smartphone. La qualité de l’image est excellente et on voit clairement les détails, y compris la nuit : on distingue sans problème les passages devant la maison. Il y a aussi des icônes qui signalent s’il s’agit d’un passage normal ou d’un coup de vent (icône verte ou orange). Les appels vocaux sont clairs et intelligibles. Lors d’une conversation, il y a plusieurs options disponibles : activer/désactiver le microphone, activer la lumière ou faire des réponses rapides (création de messages vocaux personnalisés). Cette sonnette TP-Link Tapo 2K permet, via l’appli Tapo, d’enregistrer des vidéos et prendre des photos à tout moment. Il est également possible de souscrire au service Tapo Care, avec stockage de l’historique vidéo jusqu’à 30 jours. Je n’utilise pas ce service, car avoir accès aux évènements du jour me suffit. La TP-Link Tapo 2K D230S1 est à ce jour la meilleure sonnette que j’ai achetée. Elle me permet de voir à tout moment, que je sois chez moi ou non, si quelqu’un sonne à ma porte. Je trouve que la qualité d’image est top (caméra grand angle), et j’apprécie les nombreuses fonctionnalités intégrées, notamment le lien avec mes appareils Alexa, qui m’envoient une notification vocale lorsqu’un visiteur sonne. L’autonomie est correcte : en 3 mois d’utilisation, j’ai rechargé la batterie une seule fois, et je suis actuellement à 30% d’autonomie restante (suivi du niveau de charge sur l’appli Tapo). En revanche, je trouve que la batterie met trop de temps à se charger : il faut attendre plusieurs heures pour qu’elle soit à 100%. De plus, il s’agit d’un port de charge micro USB alors que la norme actuelle est l’USB-C. Au niveau des points à améliorer, je trouve la sonnette extérieure un peu trop imposante. Par ailleurs, l’autocollant « Appuyer ici » ne tient pas bien et un de ces quatre, je vais le perdre. Points positifs : + Configuration facile + Qualité d’image excellente, de jour comme de nuit + Possibilité de revoir les évènements de la journée + Compatible avec les appareils Alexa + Nombreuses fonctionnalités Points négatifs : - Temps de charge de batterie trop long - Port de charge de batterie vieillot (micro USB au lieu d’USB-C) - Sonnette épaisse - L’autocollant « Appuyer ici » ne tient pas - Notice en français trop succincte En conclusion, cette sonnette sans fil avec caméra TP-Link Tapo 2K D230S1 est l’un des meilleurs achats que j’ai pu faire cette année. Elle est simple à installer, offre une super qualité d’image et des options très pratiques. Je la recommande sans hésiter.

Es tan bueno que sigo sorprendido, puedes programarlo de mil maneras, la cámara que incorpora es buenísima, puede detectar si se acercan personas, coches, animales o cualquier movimiento dentro de su rango de detección que es increiblemte grande, aunque puedes hacer que sea menor, tiene muchos sonidos de timbres distintos y puedes ponerlo a un volumen bastante alto, el único problema que le veo es que cuando alquien toca el timbre tarda un poco en emitir un sonido que indique a la persona que llama que si ha sonado el timbre, por lo que la gente suele tocar y no escuchar nada y volver a tocar y luego ya suena dos veces, por lo demás es casi perfecto.
