They are so simple to install, and look amazing both on and off. They’re very customisable, allowing you to create your own unique design. They have an official website where you can choose the orientation before putting them on the wall. They have multiple modes, including your own scene/colour, preset scenes, and sound detection, making the lights sync to your music. Absolutely brilliant!

I can confidently say that they did not disappoint.Upon receiving the panels, I was immediately impressed by the sleek packaging. The panels themselves have a beautiful matte/satin black finish, which is particularly appealing when they are turned off. On a dark wall, they blend seamlessly, creating a subtle and elegant look. However, on a lighter wall, they do stand out more prominently.Installation was relatively straightforward. The panels come with adhesive pads for wall attachment and snap-on electrical bridge pieces to connect them electronically. It's important to plan your desired wall shape, and Nano Leaf's app offers a helpful layout assistant to aid in the design process. Additionally, make sure to position them near a power outlet, as there are only about 10 feet of cable.Setting up the panels via the app initially presented a challenge. The app struggled to locate the lights, and it took some trial and error to get them connected. The instructions mentioned a "discovery reset," but it didn't provide clear guidance on how to perform it. Eventually, I stumbled upon the discovery option by pressing a few buttons. To make matters slightly more confusing, the app requested a code without specifying where to find it. The code was printed at the bottom of a quick scan barcode on the inlay sheet inside the box, so be sure to have that sheet handy during setup.Once connected, the app proved user-friendly and easy to navigate. It offers a wide array of colour presets to download, and the customization options are nearly endless. You can even create and design your own presets, giving you full control over your lighting ambience.My only qualm with this product is the timer function within the app. Despite multiple attempts, I couldn't get the panels to respond to timers as expected. This is an area where Nano Leaf could make some improvements.

It isn't made that clear but you can mix them in with white shapes as I have done after getting a bit bored with my old layout.Pricey.They show up scratches and dirt more easily.

At the time of this review this starter set is around £180When you get the box you can immediately feel the weight of the product, it a reassuring weight not a heavy one.I trie the set up using common sense as the little instruction manual was pretty scant in information that helped.Anyway I got this lot connected to each other and working but could to air it to the nanoleaf app. I found the eight digit code on the back of the controller but the app was always updating in the background.I will leave it connected for a while, I’ve attached a video of where I got to .I have now found that on the glossy card in the box, on the reverse side there are some working QR codes1. for the set up for different environments android or iOS,2. Detailed tutorial and3 expansions and accessoriesI have left this part of the review on here just in case you have just got a kit like this and you are struggling, find the glossy card and it will make things easier also,Once you register on the nano leaf app you get an email with a link to a help deskI will come back and update this review.Update -So I have already downloaded the app and registered my detailsI am using an apple device and followed the steps from the QR code “detailed tutorials and warranty )The pairing QR code that you need is on the back of the controller which is the black oblong part mixed in with the electrical connectors AND on the actual power plug for the device.I found the code on the controller wouldn’t scan but the one on the plug did..That made the whole process much simpler

I purchased these in black to compliment other decoration, mainly a black SL Magnus desk which also has Nanoleaf lighting. They look great when off, much better than white, however, turn them on and they are easily 50% less bright than the white ones. The quality as per usual for Nanoleaf is excellent, but the drop in brightness, in my opinion, is not worth it. Stick to the white ones if you really want the best lighting effects.

The first plate in the box in all my three boxes i received arrived with scratches and slight bents becouse it had 0 protection.... Such disappointment from such an expensive product...

Sono molto belli, quando sono spenti sembrano dei semplici pannelli neri, mentre quando sono accesi creano un'atmosfera piacevole, rilassante o più movimentata in base alle impostazioni di illuminazione. Si possono abbinare anche ad altri modelli compatibili, come la serie Elements.

Also das Paket wurde durch Amazon sehr schnell geliefert deshalb erstmal ein grosser dank an Amazon (-:Jetzt zu den Nanoleaf Ultra Black Shapes(-:Ich habe schon viele Sachen der Marke Nanoleaf und eigentlich hab ich mir selbst gesagt das es jetzt reicht da ich nur einen Hobbyraum habe (-:Da ich schon weit über 40 platten an der Wand habe aber halt alle in weiss (-:wollte ich unbedingt wenigstens ein starterkit in Black(-:Also eins muss man von Anfang an sagen und ich hoffe das das auch jeden klar ist sie sind auf keinem Fall so hell wie die weissen und es wäre unfair deshalb in seiner Bewertung das als schlecht zu bewerten.Habe sie über meinem Fernseher hängen und ich muss sagen selbst wenn sie nicht an sind machen sie meiner Meinung nach schon was her(-:Also wer es aber heller möchte sollte auf die weissen zurück greifen wem das aber nichts ausmacht dem gebe ich eine 100%ige Kaufempfehlung und nur mal so nebenbei so dunkel sind sie definitiv nicht und im ausgeschalteten zustand machen die ultra Black auf jeden fall mehr her .
