Navigation Divider Brass for Navigation Saddle Length 21 cm

It's hard enough to find quality dividers and other drafting tools these days, much less at this price point. So far they work perfectly for my needs, which is as a quick tool to measure and double check proportions while doing figure drawing with a model. If I were doing sea chart navigation or architectural drafting, I might spend more to get a tool with guaranteed precision, but this works for me.As others have said, they are fairly stiff. I have large hands so this isn't a problem for me, but just be aware that they may need lubricating or adjustment if you think this might cause issues for you.

Very happy with these dividers. They are lightweight enough to hold in one hand. They were a little stiff but I sprayed the joint with silicone spray (WD40 would also work) several times and opened and closed the dividers multiple times. This seemed to have loosened them up so that they are easy to open and closed but still tight enough to hold the dimension. Nice brass finish and the tips are just the right sharpness.

Works great for U.S. Power Squadron Piloting and Navigation courses. Simple, sturdy, well made.

Fantastic, I’ve used this pair for three years now. I was able to purchase extra leads online and I have sharpened the brass point very easily on any rough surface (I use them in construction, they hold up to a lot of abuse).To the person complaining about them being flimsy, these are solid brass. If you wanted a sturdier tool you should be buying steel ones which have a screw to adjust them with that sticks way off the side. The biggest advantages to these in my opinion is that they are skinny and will fit in your pocket, and they will open far wider than most dividers and compasses very quickly.I’m back here looking for another pair only because I think I lost them, not because they broke! One of my favorite tools ever, and I have a lot of tools.

It works fine, but came in a less than new looking condition. The brass is beat up and gouged in multiple spots.
