DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Impact Wrench, 1/2" Hog Ring, High Torque, Brushless, Bare Tool Only (DCF961B)

This impact is an absolute tank. It has taken off any fastener that I've asked it to. I don't deal with a lot of stuck fasteners, so I don't use this impact often, but when I need it, it has not failed me. This impact paired with the DCF891 is the perfect combination of daily impact that can do most things, and the overkill impact that will save you hours. It is very heavy, but small enough to get into all areas that you might need to maneuver it in. I plan to keep this tool for life and know it will deliver when called upon. The adjustment settings are nice, the torque is unmatched, and the hammer hits are brutal especially when it is in turbo mode.

This thing is a beast!!! I have the snubby 1/2 impact, the first offering of the 1/2 impact dewalt made for the 20v and now this. on my 2500 trucks the other 2 can not move suspension bolts at all. This monster makes light work of any bolt i put to the test. control arm bolts that every video says i will need to cut off? nope wd 40 and this and they zip right out. this is the highest torque electric impact on the market. get it and be happy!

I was hesitant to buy a tool from Amazon, but I'm glad I did. It's a genuine DeWalt tool that performs exactly as expected. The build quality is excellent, it's durable, and it works just like the DeWalt tools you'd buy in-store. Definitely worth the purchase.

This thing is a beast. So much torque. Battery life is good and the bolt up feature is really great once you allow you brain to accept the upgrade. Very fast getting the nut or bolt to initial tightness, it pauses for a half a second and then starts impacting it like normal. Great feature. All that torque comes at a cost. She's a heavy beast.

I just received it. And at first glance and feel it's a five and it's my favorite tool already... It is a beast, lol. I bought it specifically for a 36 mm axle nut, (because my passenger side seized from rust or whatever) and I ended up grinding that axle nut down to change that wheel hub assembly. Step brother told me it was the air gun I was using. Not enough behind it and he'd bring over his Milwaukee that supposedly could do it.... Well it did, lol, and I was so impressed that I bought the DeWalt the next day (since DeWalt is the brand I already have). So anyways, I will be changing out both wheel hub assemblies since these new parts have a 5-year warranty and I still have the driver side to do. I will rewrite the review or add to it I guess depending on that. This is the 900 lb compared to I think his was the 750 or something but the Dewalt will twist your wrist when you pull the trigger, lol. Massive torque and that's what impressed me immediately.

Overall, I think this unit is going to pretty much take down any obstacle. It has three impact settings (1,2,3) as well as a mode that will stop impacting quickly after meeting sufficient resistance. I used it, so far, exclusively on setting 3 (MOAR TORQUE!!!) for removing and installing lug nuts. For this job, it is overkill! It makes short work of any comers. The unit is bulky and weighty, but it also is able to take a licking without issue. I accidentally dropped it from the top of the bed of my truck (about 4.5' from the ground), and it bounced of the pavement without anything but a light scratch on the aluminum housing. If you're working it, it will eat the batteries, but I did a full tire rotation on two vehicles and it used little of my 6 amp-hour battery (afterward, I put it in the weed trimmer and made it through most of my yard before I had to swap batteries). Sockets can be a slight pain to secure to the chuck, but it also holds them reasonably well without being frustrating. The only thing that I do not like about it is the impact application. It is surprisingly jumpy when impacting. Compared to its main Milwaukee rival, it is downright crude in this respect. It jumps enough to cause pain in the wrist holding it, and that is simply not something that has ever happened with big red. Don't get me wrong, it will definitely knock things loose, but you're going to feel it, too. If you have the DeWalt tool ecosystem, get this! But, if you also have Milwaukee tools, then I recommend the competing product over this one.

I’ve had this for 2 days I got to use it at work is all so far. I bought this tool only then a 8 amp hour powerstack that was on sale for it and so far been very surprised. I’ve been told nothing but to be careful and that it dumb to use it for taking wheel ends off trucks (I work on semi trucks and trailers a lot of tires and brakes) but I wasn’t worried and figured if I use it enough right away money back within 30 days dewalt says. So far out of 14 different wheel ends between 6 or so different truck or trailer’s I’ve had 4 lug nuts on one trailer it didn’t want to take off on one wheel end. Took all the others off and few them didn’t think where coming then did but 4 did not and even our normal 1 inch Ingersoll Rand air gun wouldn’t budge it had to use the one that’s like twice the weight but still 1 inch to break them loose and even that struggled. I didn’t even give up with the dewalt though I sat on one the lugs after I got all other 6 off and held the trigger for solid 2 minutes or more before it over heated and shut itself off and would let me try after a few seconds then shutoff again until it acted like it was dead and I couldn’t even tould the metal part of it . 3 minutes of that later I held it on there for another 30 seconds before I got the air gun because it was smelling like burnt electrical . Snap on can lick it. Only complaint is the metal is obviously like cast aluminum and pretty soft be careful you don’t have any part of the tool resting on part of anything you impacting on you’ll tear it up easy or pinch your hand thing eats. I’ll update this review in a month or more if it don’t break by then.

Llevo tiempo trabajando con herramientas Dewalt y ninguna me a quedado a deber, está pistola de impacto de verdad es increíble, no hay birlo o tornillo que le haga frente, es una bestia imparable a la hora de hacer su trabajo, no cabe duda que vale la pena cada centavo invertido, adquirí la batería aparte y ya con todo pesa 4.3 Kg de puro músculo, recomendado al 1000 %.

Holy this thing is torquey, do not buy to change your tires on your Honda civic or other small jobs, this thing will bust those stubborn u bolts straight off or anything else that gets in its way that won't come off , no messing around

Works awesome, just need to make sure you got a full battery or a mostly full battery to maximize the breakaway power.
