Please don't use sellotape!
Beautiful gift beautiful box and then you used sellotape to keep the box shut which wasn't necessary as it was sealed in plastic. When you take sellotape off it takes off a layer of the beautiful packaging - not great on a present!

Stopper & Pourer Set
.No name is more synonymous with the history of Danish silversmith work. Then with the very talented silversmith Georg Jensen, whose work is celebrated throughout the industry. His legacy lives on through the company of talented artists and craftsmen he founded which, to this day, fashions beautiful silver and steal designs inspired by his distinctive style. Jensen’s work is heavily influenced by the art nouveau movement. His handcrafted designs have been filling homes with Nordic chic for over a century. His life’s work was an ambition of making commonplace objects that combined beauty and utility to give pleasure to their user. This Barware wine collection is stunning. This is where each piece in the assortment features his signature trademarks, of attention to detail and perfect balance so that it is simply a pleasure to use. The fashionable and modern design into prominent, bold articles for the home, taking objects we see on a commonplace basis and renovating them into works of art. This particular piece is part of a collection by Swedish architect Thomas Sandell, who is an architect by trade. The Wine Stopper & Pourer Set is both robust, excellent quality and looks extremely sophisticated. These pieces are great looking and useful contemporary pieces. They make excellent gifts for those special occasions, or you just wish to just have a piece of solid craftsmanship and Nordic style. They certainly make an interesting talking point, when having friends over. Well worthy of a full five-star rating..

Makes a significant improvement to wine.
I had seen and marvelled at Georg Jensen jewellery and watches but I wasn’t aware of their extensive homeware range. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to review these pieces, a truly memorable experience. They are both simply stunning. So tactile and beautiful. They would set off any dining table to perfection. This is definitely the beginning of my Georg Jensen collection. The ‘OxiPour’ function ensures the correct aeration of the wine to keep the fine nuances of aroma and flavour. For some time we have found a significant improvement to red wine when poured into a carafe first and so aerating the wine. We were thinking of getting a special decanter for formal dining but with this pourer there is no need.I will however follow the cleaning instructions to the letter, the thought of scratching the mirror finish by using anything other than a soft cloth, mild soap liquid is too much to bear. Neither pieces are dishwasher safe. This is such a classy gift for any wine drinker, an ideal wedding, birthday or Christmas gift.

Iconic style combined with quality function
This set certainly looks the part - elegantly packed in a posh presentation box branded with the iconic Georg Jensen name, all mirror-like steel and sinuous, organic curves. It really is beautiful. I'm not a great wine buff but the aeration system really does seem to bring out flavours I wouldn't normally notice. The silicone ensures a really snug fit on the stopper so you can be confident that not a drop will be wasted. This set looks every penny of the £70 (at time of writing) price tag and anyone who treasures good wine and good design will take many years of pleasure from it.That being said, the price is not trivial, and as Jensen's name is famously associated with silver, it's somewhat disappointing that this is only stainless steel. However it would make a beautiful gift for a wedding, anniversary or a special birthday and would no doubt be much appreciated by the right recipient.

They are visually stunning, but overpriced at £70
The media could not be loaded. This gift set would be perfect as a wedding present. Very expensive for what it is, but oh what amazing quality and design. The wine stopper is surprisingly weighty. It has a really nice curvature and beautiful "silver" stainless steel finish. The wine pourer has an aesthetically pleasing flayed end that sticks out the bottle. The only downside is that these items are NOT dishwasher safe. You have to be very careful, using only warm water, mild detergent, with a soft cloth or a brush with soft bristles.WHY NOT 5* ?===========Main grumble is price : it’s expensive - especially at £70 (at time of writing). Not sure wine pourer is necessary 🤔

Great for the wine lover
Now I'm no wine guru, in fact I rarely drink it, but my misses loves the stuff, you can see this by the collection of empty bottles we put in the recycling bin each week. So upon seeing this she was happy, I was bewildered. Now I have seen these things packed up in those Xmas box sets that you get, so when I saw the price of this I was shocked. But upon reading up on the background of Jensen and seeing the quality of this I can kinda understand the price tag now.The quality is outstanding, beautiful mirror polished steel looks stunning and the overall finish is second to none. It also comes in a great display box, ideal if it's a gift. Now as for how good the pourer works, well my partner thinks it's amazing. Apparently it really brings out the flavours and adds much more character to the wine, to me well I took a sip before and didn't like it, took a sip using the pourer and still didn't like it!For the wine lover it's a god send...
