I really like the design of this teleprompter, the text comes up really clear. The silicone boot that goes over the lens works great. One thing to check for is a second zip on the base of the bag, you will find the additional accessories hidden there. I had returned one unit thinking it was incomplete. The second one arrived and I noticed the second zipper. I mounted mine with some 15” rails, you may need to improvise how you mount yours depending on camera model and lens. I am very happy with the quality of the unit.

I haven't used it in the field yet. I only assembled it at home to check that everything works. I think anyone who buys it will be very, very satisfied. I don't understand why SMALLRIG doesn't produce it anymore. This is a very high-quality product. All the others, which are just a piece of fabric or a black plastic casing, look like toys next to it. Its build quality is incredible. I recommend buying it before the stock runs out, and then you'll have to search for it at an exorbitant price.

Gets the job done. Design and build could be improved. App is not the best. Have not been able to get the remote to work.

Perfect teleprompter for rail system. Doesn’t work with cellphone as is but purchasing a friction arm and adapter make it work with phone perfectly.

So useful and compact. I live this thing. It’s really easy to take on shoots because if how small and compact it is. Good quality too.

Easy to install and works like a charm. Downside would be cheap remote and trying to find a teleprompter app.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased a teleprompter a couple of years ago and it is such a pain to use that I rarely use it. When I saw this teleprompter from one of my favorite brands, SmallRig, and realized it mounts via the 15mm rails I already have on my "rig", I jumped on it.I'm so glad I did, because this unit vs my previous unit is night and day. It's very easy to install and use and comes in a very nice custom case made specifically for this teleprompter. The case even has a nice padded flap that goes between the glass and the flip up flag, which I thought was a really nice touch. Everything has it's place in the case, which is great.The silicone piece that goes on the lens to block any stray light going into the teleprompter works like a champ and I think it will fit all of my lenses. For me, this works way better than the normal cloth "sleeves" that still allow some light through making it harder to read the text.The unit has two cold shoe slots for accessories like a light or microphone. I put two small LED video lights on it and it works great to light the talent if relatively close. The text itself is easy to read even from a bit of a distance, depending on your eyes. I wear glasses and had no issues reading the text from a ways away.The only issue I had was the SmallGoGo app used to import and display text, which wouldn't open on my tablet. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, but it just wouldn't load and gets stuck on the opening screen. I did contact SmallRig, but have yet to hear back from them. No big deal, because I already had the app and wireless controller from my old teleprompter that works great, so all is well. Apparently, the SmallGoGo app is an all in one app that works with many of the SmallRig products, including their lighting, the teleprompter, etc.Overall, despite the app issue, I'm super pleased with this teleprompter. I have many products from SmallRig and all are great and I've become a big fan of the brand. If you already have a baseplate with rods, this is the teleprompter.

Never have I given this brand any less than five stars, I love everything they do and I am doing this for such a trivial reason... this teleprompter is amazing quality through and through but it does NOT come with a tray to hold your tablet for use with the teleprompter and instead comes with a holder for a cell phone. The description clearly states "For tablet, not for smart phone" so why include the phone holder and nothing to hold a tablet? Other than that this whole device is flawless and I love it. The case, the parts, the look... everything is flawless. If only it came with something to hold the tablet...

Have always loved using Smallrigs products and this one is no different. We have a lot of clients who much prefer a teleprompter and one this size is so much easier. Highly recommend for anyone doing video production. Some people complained about the holder only being big enough for a cell phone, that’s not the case it does extend for iPad use.
