Invaluable - Saves hours of measuring and marking
This is another ‘wish I’d bought one years ago’ tool. When I think of all the jobs I’ve done in the past few years, messing about with spirit levels and every type of marker imaginable. What a waste of time; this really is a job accelerator, completely removing the need for all that.Coupled with a tripod for outdoor work and a telescopic pole for indoors, this is a major time-saver. Doing some tiling recently where I needed a precisely straight line, the laser was a real game-changer in terms of precision and keeping things aligned reliably. There are many lasers on the market now, and I chose this one largely on the strength of a friend’s review plus a few online. The unit is really quite tiny, smaller than a Rubik’s Cube if you can remember those. It weighs very little and takes just 2 x AAA batteries; I’ll speak about this more at the end. Setting up is simple: Mount on tripod or pole and slide up the outer lens cover, at which point the laser switches on. As long as the unit is level to the eye (you don’t need a spirit level) then it will self-level within a few seconds. That’s it.The unit projects a cross onto the opposite wall in a bright green light that is easy to see. This makes aligning pictures on a wall, or tiles, really simple and precise. The laser light of course cannot be disturbed by the job in hand so is a perfect marker to align work to. For floor tiling it’s also superb, especially when combined with a telescopic pole with its minimal footprint. The Bosch unit isn’t without fault, but with no other products to compare against this might be me just being fussy:- The mounting unit that clamps to the pole, as well as the laser itself, are really lightweight; great for transporting but easily disturbed when in use. That said, they are also easy to realign if knocked, something that pleasantly surprised me.- The unit really eats batteries, which I _was_ surprised about. Some high amp-hour rechargeable batteries might be advisable as a pair of AAAs only seem to last a weekend of DIY such as tiling. Not a disaster but possibly not great for the planet?- There is no protective carry case for the unit, and it’s vulnerable in its cardboard box. I’ll be buying a case of foam I can carve out to fit, to keep it safe on the workshop shelf.Overall verdict: Recommended

Easy to use and green laser easy to see
I already own a bosch red cross's line laser level that sits on a tripod and this one is the bosch cross line laser quigo green and comes with a universal clamp and adapter plate. In comparison with the red laser model the green laser is a lot brighter and easier to see. I also prefer the clamp as it means you can place it higher than you can with a tripod. It can also sit on a tripod though if you have one, the fitting takes most cheap camera tripods, although a Bosch one is available it is not different than the cheaper ones just with Bosch written on it.The cross line laser level is perfect for putting up shelving, pictures and cupboards to make sure they are level but also for setting a line for tiling. The auto level means the Laser will always show a level line so long as the device is with 4 degrees of level. Anything past 4 degrees and you will not see any output from the level until it is with the 4 degrees. One tip though if you are moving it about make sure that you close the shutter as this secures the pendulum inside the device. Failure to do this can cause it to be damaged. It takes 2 AAA batteries that are supplied. As always with the Bosch name the product is well made but this does come at a price.

Great clamp and good throw.
Having struggled with trying to get laser levels to the right hight in the past I really liked the clamp that comes with this Bosh laser level. You can attach it to door frames, or anything you can get a bit of purchase on, meaning you should be able to get the level to whatever hight you want. If you haven't used a laser level before it is worth mentioning that you need to have the level at the hight that you want the line to be at, so if hanging pictures the level needs to be mounted at the same hight that you want the line. Along with the clamp there is also a small attachment with a worm gear to make micro adjustments to the hight, which could also prove useful. The level itself throws two lines in one direction which will be good for hanging pictures and some basic DIY but we have another level which throws 360 deg lines around the room which (if mounted in the centre of the room on a tripod) allows you to get the same level on all walls without having to move and realign the laser. Also it is worth mentioning that you cannot lock the laser in place to throw a non level line, as the locking the level mechanism also closes the door to the laser and switches it off so only level lines are achievable. The line is perfectly viewable inside with the lights on with the photos taken across a 6m room and the unit takes two AAA batteries (supplied)All in all it's a good level for basic DIY, but if you're on the tools a lot you may do better looking for one with rechargeable batteries and a 360 deg throw. But I do really like the clamp which makes mounting it really easy and was a great idea from Bosh.

awesome
I've been using the Bosch Cross line Laser Quigo Green for a few days now, and I'm absolutely impressed with it. It's a lightweight and easy-to-use laser level that's perfect for a variety of DIY projects. One of the things I love most about it is its green laser lines. Green laser lines are much more visible than red laser lines, especially in bright sunlight. This makes it much easier to see and align the laser lines, even when working on a large project. The Quigo Green is also very accurate. It has a self-leveling feature that ensures that the laser lines are always straight, even if the tool is not level. This makes it easy to get precise results, even for beginners. The universal clamp MM 2 is also a great addition. It allows you to securely attach the laser level to a variety of surfaces, including tables, chairs, and ladders. This makes it easy to position the laser level exactly where you need it.
