Still holding out strong over a year later!
I never thought I would spend $40 on a mouse for a computer, but after going through about 7 cheap ones, I decided it was time to invest in a good high quality mouse not just for me, but really more for my business. I work from home which means I spend A LOT of time on my computer. With two toddlers, the more wireless stuff I have, the better. The color of this mouse is perfect for me. It's not too bright and not too dull. It doesn't take much battery power, in fact, I have had it for over a year and I just recently had to change the batteries for the first time. With the other mouses (mice?) I have had, the piece in the middle you use to scroll always came loose after a week or two and would stop working. I don't have that problem with this mouse which is extremely nice. The clickers (sorry for my bad terminology) work just as well as they did when I first got them. I do have to say that the sensor is very sensitive. With some of the other mouses I have had, I don't need a mouse pad, but with this one, I can't use it directly on my computer desk. I have to have something under it, so since I don't have a mouse pad and haven't gotten around to buying one, I just use a piece of paper and it works just fine. Overall spending $40 on this mouse might have seemed a little much at first, but after having it hold out strong for over a year and not having to buy a replacement every month or two, I have saved money in the end and I still love this mouse as much as I did when I first got it! A great purchase indeed!

Pleasantly surprised that it works with Unifying Receiver; but limited USB port options
Does what it should and looks very nice, so overall I'm very pleased with the product. It gets unexpected bonus points because it actually is compatible with Logitech's Unifying Receiver (which had come with a recently purchased a Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard). According to Unifying Receiver documentation, the M305 is not compatible, but I noticed that it came with a Unifying Receiver logo (orange star) underneath it. After a bit of Googling, I found that others had the same question I did. There is some good discussion on the subject here:[...]Ultimately, I believe what worked for me was to download the Unifying Receiver software from the Logitech site:[...]Then I basically turned off and turn on the mouse and voila - it works off the Unifying Receiver.Caveat emptor, though: since Logitech hasn't updated any of its documentation (including its online list of compatible devices) there is nothing saying they won't change their mind and remove this hidden feature at a later date.As for the USBs, the setup I have is a tower desktop placed to the side of my desk. I tried both the receiver that shipped with this mouse and the Unifying Receiver in pretty much all of the available USB ports - my tower has 2 in front and 6 in back. I usually have a USB port replicator running and I tried both a powered USB replicator and an unpowered one. The only ones I could get the Logitech devices to recognize were the front USB ports. As you might guess from the above, I use a LOT of USB devices, and I rely on the two front ones as being the best combination of convenient and reliable (some devices, like these, just will not work on the replicators). So unfortunately, these interface devices are occupying one of my prized USB ports (unlike my old Microsoft wireless media keyboard set, which worked great off the powered replicator....until I melted the keyboard by lowering a 100w lamp too close to it). Thankfully the devices share a receiver, so at least it's only one of the two front ports. In the meantime, I'm docking a star from an otherwise very good device.

Great mouse for 3+ years
I've been using this mouse for about 3 years and 5 months and it is still working! For a couple months now it has been doubling clicking randomly when I left click something once. It is frustrating at times but not enough to replace yet.It has a mini USB which is great because it is flush against my laptop and I never have to unplug it because it fits fine in my laptop case. If you do need to unplug the USB for whatever reason, they have a nice carrying compartment inside the mouse next to the battery so you do not lose it while traveling. It also has a light that tells you when you need to change the battery. When you first turn it on, if your battery life is good, it will flash a green light for about 10 seconds. When it is almost time to change your battery, the light will be red instead of green. When the battery is close to dying it will keep flashing red whenever you move the mouse. The mouse is small and great for traveling. I am a girl with average sized hands and it fits comfortably inside my palm. When I replace my mouse I will definitely be repurchasing this!

Love this mouse
I bought one of these a while ago to go with my laptop while I was in school and it always worked great. Eventually I finished school, moved into a house and set up my living room with a projector that I hooked all of my entertainment to... including my computer. I ended up purchasing a logitech wireless keyboard with a unifying receiver which I wasn't too sure would actually work with this mouse, but as luck would have it, it worked like a charm. It worked so well, that when I decided to upgrade my 5 year old wireless keyboard and mouse for the old computer in my room, I purchased another one of these bad boys. The battery life is exceptional and I use it on a variety of surfaces. Ive used it on my bed, my pants, my lazyboy recliner.... pretty much any fabric surface I have met, it has worked.Disclaimer: This is a small mouse compared to your average size. I originally bought it for my laptop so it would be easy to tote around, but I got very used to the size and enjoy using it as a regular mouse. I understand that not everyone is going to have the same opinion. I do believe logitech sells similar regular size mice. But this one works nicely if you don't mind it being a little smaller.

Great service.
Nice product. Arrived very quickly, helpful after care when I couldn't find the dongle (inside battery compartment) I would recommend.

Formidable petite souris !
