Q: Does the unit turn back on, when power is restored (battery depletion), or do you have to manually turn it back on?

This is tricky. (1) If the battery still has charge left when the electricity is back online, then the UPS will turn back on. (2) If the battery is depleted when the electricity is back online, then the UPS will NOT turn back on, the button must be manually pressed. PLEASE NOTE, almost all UPS products from Cyberpower, APC, Amazon, etc. consume battery power just to run the AC/DC inverter, when running off battery. This means that even if you are powering a very low load device like a clock, it will not last. The battery will die much sooner than expected. I tested the Cyberpower 425 with Zero Load, and the battery depletes after only 5.5 hours.

Q: Does this have a replaceable battery?

The battery in the ST625 definitely is replaceable. I have one; the instructions include a sheet explaining how to replace the battery; I've opened the battery compartment (one screw, door slides off); and found at least one replacement here at Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/CPS5-5-12-Brand-Compatible-Replacement-Battery/dp/B01HOXT5NI/ref=sr_1_41?crid=213ZRHES2XHEP&keywords=12v+5ah+battery&qid=1571426727&sprefix=12v+5ah+ba%2Caps%2C236&sr=8-41). The battery is 12V 5AH (for the ST625). It's low-profile, so many other batteries of the same voltage/AH will not fit. The Cyberpower battery ID is: CPS5.5-12 (12V 5AH).

Q: Is there any way to turn off the beeping sound when power is lost?

From the manual: Alarm setting: The audible alarm can be turned OFF or ON by quickly pressing the POWER button twice. The default setting is for the Alarm On. To turn the Alarm Off, quickly press the power button twice. You will hear two short beeps when the Alarm is turned off. To turn the Alarm back ON, quickly press the power button twice. You will hear a single short beep when the Alarm is turned on..... *When the Alarm is turned off, there will be no audible notification when the UPS reaches a low battery state.

Q: If I am charging a phone, how long can it stay?
