ARC REVIEW 💗🐓
Spice: 🌶️🌶️Genre: Sports Rom-ComTropes:💗 Best Friends To Lovers💗 Fake Dating💗 Plus Size Heroine💗 Sports Romance💗 He falls firstMain character:🤍 Chris Kingman🤍 Trixie Moore🐓 Luke Skycocker- My favouriteI have been waiting to read this ever since seeing it on Amy’s instagram. I can’t believe I got pick for Arc. Thank you so much to Amy Award and lovenotes pr for giving me the opportunity.Thoughts 💘I thought this was such a cute book. This was really a great book, of how it speaks about body positivity. I absolutely loved that it teaches you that you can be loved no matter what size you are 😍I loved how cute Chris is when it comes to Trixie, you can definitely tell he loves and adores her so much. Which is so cute. Even his family is so protective towards her😱I loved how Trixie, doesn’t let anyone get to her and stands up for herself. It’s such an educating book and dirty as well. Talk about chapter “GOYKATTDLAGG” 😱🌶️🌶️😊Although I loved both of the character development. I loved them together it was so cute, and I loved reading their story. And how they stayed strong even with complications. And found their way to each other.🐓I can’t forget my favourite chicken Luke Skycocker, he brought such a great aspect to the book. I love his attitude it was the funniest thing I’ve ever read. Can’t wait for the second book ~🥹😊😍

first Amy Award
Didn’t disappoint! Took a star away as it took me a couple of chapters to get into it properly. Loved Trixie - what a character! Strong, passionate, curvy and proud, positive and she loves books!!Great story. Easy read.

A fun friends to lovers story
First of all, can we just shout about this cover? I’m obsessed.Secondly, thanks for @lovenotes.pr for the ARC of The C*ck Down The Block. As tropes go friends to lovers is probably the one that I read the least and I forgot how good it can be (I’m a slow burn girlie and love the tension of a slow falling). All that shared history. The comfort of each other’s company. Not having to go through that awkward getting to know you stage. It’s all great and this book had it in buckets. The way in which they found themselves kind of fake dating had me feeling giddy and the way that Chris used that as his chance to shot his shoot was great.Trixie as a character was so well rounded and I loved the way she loved herself. It wasn’t always smooth sailing but what is in life? Chris was a great partner for her and I liked the way their relationship developed.Parts of it did feel a bit clunky but overall it was fun read.3.5/5 stars

Loved it
Funny, cute and good plot . Being plus size it was nice having the main character plus size and not just the funny plus sized supporting cast as we usually are. Will read the next one.

Adored it
This is one of my favourite books I’ve read in a long time! It has everything you’ll ever need. Definitely one of my top 5 reads of 2023.Fake dating ✅Sports romance ✅Spicy ✅Luke Skycoker (when you read it you’ll know 👀) ✅ Body positivity ✅Confident FMC ✅Honestly I was giggling and twirling my hair while reading this book 🤣 it’s like the perfect amount of cuteness. The main characters development is one of my favourite things about the book it goes against “normal” standards and ends so beautifully. I devoured this book in one day I just could not put it down I ending up staying up until the early morning until I finished it. I think re read it before completing my review because if I wrote my review before my review read I feel like I just wouldn’t have appreciated it the way this book needs. Amy has written it so gracefully where it feels like you’re actually present in the chapters and you feel for the main characters, which is so important ( to me!).If I could read this book for the first time again it would be a blessing.5/5

Cute and Fluffy fast paced book
Exactly what it says in the description. Short, snappy, fluffy.Maybe not the best book on the market, but as far as fake dating tropes go, it’s pretty good.

Took me by surprise!
I can honestly say this is only the second book I've ever given a full 5 stars. And it deserved it. It was an outstanding book. The story flowed flawlessly. It's a romance story yes, but also a story about loving yourself and still battling negative words even as an adult and overcoming that, and I absolutely loved that because let's be honest, we all could learn to love ourselves a little bit better. I loved the Hero, Chris. Big cinnamon roll right there, he loves his Trix so wholeheartedly. The heroine is awesome, she says the best things when nervous and that made me smile cuz I do the same thing. Her pets? The names? Fantastic. As a Star wars nerd I can say those are the best names I've ever heard! But it wasn't just that. The family dynamics? The way they band together no matter what, was so touching. And neither of the main characters were perfect, but they were who they are and they owned it. There's no unnecessary third act break up, which, thank you. Sometimes the third act break up really annoys me cuz it could have been avoided or it's for a reason I don't like and makes me dislike a character. Nope, when trouble came calling, they supported each other and figured it out together. The writing is amazing, the supporting characters (the cowgirls and best friend) were the cherry on the cake. It's not an angsty book, it's on the lighter side (the spice is through the roof tho😍🥵). But it also does deal with some real issues about loving yourself and I read it in one sitting. Bravo. I will definitely be rereading this one!
