A fun toy to control with just your hand
The media could not be loaded. This flying orb is a super fun toy you can control with your hand. It's very durable and the plastic is elastic and bends back into shape easily which allows this drone to take tons of hits and be completely fine. The built in leds provide a really cool lighting effect when using this and you can have it spin or float based on the way you throw it and make it over. It's a great toy and is tons of fun.

A lot of fun
This flying orb toy comes boxed with instructions, charging cable, hat and stickers. I chose not to attach the hat or stickers. The ball has a very simple design. It's basically a rotor on a stick which is mounted inside a spherical plastic cage. The cage does a good job of stopping you getting your fingers caught in the mechanism, so the orb can be used safely with no fear of injury. The orb charges up via a micro-USB cable, which is included. The USB port is on the top (helpfully marked UP) together with the on/off button. As it's positioned under the cage, it's a little tricky reaching the port and pushing the cable in but so far I've been managing OK without causing any damage. Similarly, reaching the on/off button also often requires manually rotating the central section of the orb through the cage, but I've gotten used to that and it's no problem. When the orb is switched on it lights up, but you have to swing it around to get the motor started, which is a good design as it means it doesn't fly off before you're ready. Once it's active though, it wants to fly! It just goes in whatever direction you point it in. The most effective way is just to angle the top towards the other person and gently throw it out - it flies right at them and can be caught and thrown back the same way. You can also point the top more towards yourself and throw it out to have it come back at you, or try to have it hover above your hand, but that is a lot more difficult to get right. The orb is well designed in that it will keep spinning as you throw it back and forth but it will stop spinning when it hits something so doesn't just bounce around endlessly. It isn't as sensitive as I would have liked though, as sometimes it doesn't stop spinning until it has hit a few things. Thankfully it can survive hitting anything really and won't break any windows as it's very light, just don't crush it. I'm using it indoors as it does have a habit of getting away from me so while it would be great in the park, I'm sure that in the garden it would be going over the fence or into the road in no time.Throwing the orb back and forth is an awful lot of fun and the lighting effects look pretty cool too. Battery performance is reasonably good, I can get about 10 minutes of solid playtime in before the orb needs recharging. Charging is fairly quick but takes about twice as long so you need a few orbs in order to keep one in play continuously. The orb does seem rather expensive but it seems durable and is a lot of fun if you have the space to play with it. I'm very happy with this flying orb ball toy.

So much fun
Super little toy for my grandson to play with, we took it out to the football field and he played with it for hours, a lot of other kids came to join in too.It took a little while to get the hang of how to use it and some practice was needed to get it to return back but we figured it out.I don't know how durable it will be which is the only thing I can see wrong with it, its not made from very tough plastic although in the grass and carpets it was perfectly fine after several falls to the ground. My grandson really loves playing with this now when he comes over to my house. He is only 7yrs old and seems to be able to work it better than me.Super cool Christmas or birthday present.

Great fun, hard to control(for me)
At first I just didn’t get how this worked, but once I’d read through the instructions, and looked at “how”, its best used, what way it works best, then I totally got it. Now with that said, it is still a trick to control, but with the basics down, this is so much fun. Now, the reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 4, is that when I first tried to use it, I threw it out, but when I caught it, I was a little heavy handed m, and felt it, and ever so slightly heard it “crack” a little, now it didn’t actually break, but it felt close. The lights and fans on this are brilliant, the lights show up awesomely, and the “fan blades” really kick out some “air force”, which is obviously what gives it its abilities. The colouring and aesthetic of this are great, and the added little “attachments”, make it so much more fun, with a cute little twist. All in all, with a little practice, although I do think this is perhaps a little fragile, it is super fun.

Great fun
I love playing with this and my kids love it too, it's like a slowed down game of catch. They got the hang of flying it almost immediately, it took me a little longer. Tilt it upwards and it'll fly back to you, tilt downwards and it'll fly away, angle it and it will go round corners. One charge lasts about 5 minutes but it doesn't take very long to charge at all. If it detects that it has hit something, it turns off, shake it to turn it back on again. The outside plastic feels a bit flimsy but the mine has been bounced off of so many things and it's still in one piece.

Lots of fun
Well packed and arrived quicklyAs others have said, it takes a bit of practise but lots of fun when you get the hang of it.been using this with my 7 and autistic 10 year old and its been great fun. my 10 year old has problems with his hand eye coordination but picked this up very quickly. the lights are great and its very robust (been bounced off the walls and floor more than once and keeps going lol)We love it

Hovers well
This is a light hover ball with very bright lights and a powerful motor. Rechargeable via a micro usb lead. The on/off switch is quite difficult to get to through the cage. Once switched on just flick your wrist and the motor will start allowing the ball to hover. It is meant to switch off with another flick of the wrist but I had to try two or three times to get the ball to stop spinning. The cage seems very light but I have dropped it a couple of times and it hasn't sustained any damage. The ball is about the size of my hand so quite large.Overall t takes a while and a lot of patience to master control of the ball. I have seen cheaper hover balls but most are smaller then this one. Comes in a decent box and would make a great present but I feel it is slightly overpriced. Four stars due to the price
