So interesting - unlike typical smoke woods
I smoked some brine-cured green olives with this, and was amazed. This is unlike any other wood I have used. I wouldn't say it would work well with just anything though. I also smoked a whole chicken over olive wood, and while I liked it, my family wasn't too sure. May be a little too exotic unless you were preparing a more mediterranean meal, in which case, it doesn't get more authentic than this.

Musty and damp
Very musty damp smell from chips. Looks like mixed quality chips with lots of bark. Would not order again.
