I use this magnifying glass to paint miniatures, the magnifying lens is lovely and clear making it much easier to see. The lamp clamps easily to the desk and the gooseneck is very strong and stable allowing you to position the magnifying lens exactly where you want it.That said I was very disappointed when it arrived that it did not come with a plug, when in the item description it clearly states that it comes with a 5v/2amp adapter hence causing a frantic hunt around the house to look for one!Also please be aware that if you are using fast drying paints like I am, this lamp heats up causing your paints to dry even quicker!

It was disappointing that a power plug is not provided to connect the magnifying glass USB connector to a domestic mains supply. This is not made clear in the description or the supplied instructions. The latter is absent from the details on the website and the instructions and therefor misleading. I guess some will argue that wall mounted usb power supply is becoming common yet the usb cable integral to the magnifying glass is of insufficient length from my desk or work table. In other respects this product works well.

Purchased as a present for my wife. Seems sturdy and she loves it. Be aware it does not come with a plug. I purchased one through amazon for £5.99.

i bought this for the tablet repairs i do.its great with the magnifyer and the light.BUTI gave it 3 star as it topples easily. had to tape it to a weight. base needs to be heavierUpdateIn fairness to the seller, they did get back after this review to offer either a partial refund or a new unit. I opted for a new unit.I have opted for another as i will use a clam this time.In summary if the you do not over extend the magnifiy, it should be fine. I also partially fixed the issue by taping a gym weight to the bottom of it. Other that that, its a fine product, certainly worth the money, the light that comes with it is an added bonus too.
