Another great piece of gear from Soto. This my second Soto stove and as with the first, this one does not disappoint. This makes an excellent stove for backpackers or any base camp when limited space is an issue.

I bought somewhere that was more! I was in a hurry to get my hands on it. I also own the 310... I love Soto products. However 340 is better with bigger cooking pots and beyond. The fire overlaps if pot is smaller. But I love it! 6 stars

Well built stove, but has one annoying flaw. This is not a set it and forget it stove. If you have it on a simmer, The adjustment will fluctuate without ever touching the control. You will go from a simmer to the stove going out or it will go from a simmer to medium heat. So you have to constantly keep your eye on it while cooking once you have adjusted the flame. It will not stay at a constant flame unless it’s full blast. This Happened inside in a windlass environment. I purchased the ST - 310 stove and it does the same thing.

Its is compact and light great in terms of portability. But very unstable with almost no grip at top. Whenever stirring, someone had to hold it tight. It moves around too much.

Once you have it in hand you instantly feel the quality… something you should have for camping or home to be honest am cooking on it while having asian- japanese drinking atmosphere 😚😚😚

Super fast delivery from this vendor - quality service. - I have been hiking/kayak camping for a couple of decades and I have used literally dozens of canister stoves....this Soto ST-340 is the best made, rugged and highest output packing stove I have ever used. This high output stove is just what the doctor ordered for canoe/kayak trekking....the butane lasts for 7-10 meals, the high BTU cooks a trail meal or coffee fast when you are pressed for time on long portages. - As soon as it arrived I discovered it packed in nicely in my Trangia mess tin cook kit....then I brewed up some tea and a pot of soup....fast, efficient cooking saves fuel (fuel consumption is low on this unit ) and the regulator allows for very adjustable flame so you can low simmer foods....looking forward to getting this out on the trail......if there is one drawback to this stove it's that these pure butane canisters do not regulate well at temps below 35 deg.F....to cure that you will need a canister cozy to wrap around the fuel canister.....this will allow you to use it in the winter.
