Very well made, great size for all purpose cooking, and the non-stick is brilliant. I am taking care to not overheat the pan as instructed, and to let it cool down before rinsing under water. It sears well, even on medium heat. One month on, it still looks brand new.

I bought this pan on February 2024 and despite my greatest care, only hand washing it and always using it on low fire, the non-stick material started to dysfunction and to stick. There were a few other comments from other customers saying the same thing so I contacted Alva who acknowledged the problem and were willing to send me a replacement pan. Unfortunately, they don't ship in the UK and their warranty is therefore not applicable there. I recommend therefore not to purchase this item if you're not in an area supported by Alva.

Another upgrade Ive been looking forward to in the kitchen is a quality stainless steel pan. Using non-toxic cookware is extremely important right now. Not only is this a quality pan but when used right your food doesn’t stick either. This pan is great to seer steak!

This is a fantastic piece. As a classically trained chef, I am picky about my cookware. I love this and I use it often. It has the safe non-stick coating, not Teflon, and it has real staying power.Eggs, saute, simmer, you name it. Easier in this and the clear lid is genius.I handwash all my pots and pans to make them last longer and I do the same for this one. Sometimes I do put the lid in the dishwasher.Exceeds expectations.

I wanted a different pan with a spout pour funnel. I wasn't planning on this pan, as it cost twice as much. The other pan I wanted was going to take two weeks to arrive, so I bought this instead. Every time I use it, I am very happy I bought it. It is solid and feels like it will be around for a very long time.

Very sturdy pot with a thick bottom, and the price is comparable to pots of similar quality. The steam vent in the lid is great and something I've not come across before, though it seems obvious to include once you see it! I tried on both stovetop and in the oven (375 F for several hours to make mushroom bourguignon). Primarily I will be using this on the stovetop, but the oven-safe quality of both pot and lid is a nice feature. The pot was no worse for oven time. One thing to watch out for - because it's oven safe, the handles are metal so they do get warm, though when boiling on stovetop I was able to touch them barehanded.

The media could not be loaded. I am editing this review as I have just noticed a deep chip in the “coating” but it seems to go deeper than just the coating. I have babied this pan. Never shocking it, only using silicon utensils, never rough cleaning utentsils and only by hand. So I have no clue what else could be done to preserve its condition. Very disappointed since I expected much more from Alva.The reputation of this pan speaks for itself. It is excellent quality. And an even better cooking experience. Mine arrived in Canada within 3 days, completely undamaged. Do it!
