Good bonsai soil

I used this for my bristlecone pine, coast redwood, and as pictured my giant sequoia seedlings. This is great for conifers as the name implies. I have in my mix for seedlings about 50/50 peat moss and this conifer soil. It drains very well but leaves the soil moist, so you are less likely to get root rot and there is no clumpy wet soil around the base of your trees. I would not recommend using this as the only soil in the pot, definitely add some more organic type of mixture unless instructed not to. For example in about 7 years I could probably put my bristlecone pine in a 80/20 or 90/10 of this conifer mix and the lesser be peat moss, only because those trees grow in extremely rocky areas.

If you have a large bonsai and you plan to repot you will need two bags. this is my first purchase the soil looks good got it for my juniper and some soil for my maples wish they come in bigger sizes being a small company I'm ok with the price

Excellent produit. J’utilise ce produit « Tinyroots » comme terreau pour Bonsaï depuis des années et j’ai toujours obtenus d’excellents résultats. On y retrouve des terreaux pour tous les besoins : les conifères, les bonsaïs à feuilles et à fleurs, etc. Son seul problème c’est le prix. Selon la grandeur de votre pot, cela prends 1 SAC pour 1 BONSAÏ. Cela devient donc très dispendieux PAR bonsaï. L’an dernier j’ai décidé d’essayer un terreau moins cher et finalement, je l’ai amèrement regretté : la croissance de mes bonsaïs a cessée, j’ai perdu 1 bonsaï et failli perdre tous les autres. Je suis donc revenu à ce produit et je ne changerai plus ! Ce produit est vraiment dispendieux mais vos bonsaïs seront en santé et aurons de belles pousses. Très satisfaite à chaque achat.
