Pulsar by Seiko Holdings Corporation. A spectacular breakthrough Pulsar was born in an age of optimism. In the 1970's, everything seemed achievable through the rapidly growing technological expertise at the world's fingertips. Space flight had been converted from dream to reality, computer science was developing at break neck speed and electronics seemed to deliver new advances every day. Pulsar symbolized the age. It was new and it was bold, it was surprising and it was different. Pulsar, the world's first electronic digital watch, created a sensation when it was unveiled in New York in 1972 and it changed the world's perception of time. A tradition of difference When the brand was taken into the Seiko Corporation in 1980, it brought further surprises to the world; the first calculator watch in 1980 and the first all-quartz watch line in 1981 were among its industry-leading achievements. And throughout the '80's and 90's Pulsar continued to bring to market new products that were born to be different. The Avant-garde collection in 1980's set a new style in women's watches and Spoon in 1990's were unique designs which further cemented Pulsar's image as an ingenious and surprising watchmaker. Towards a modernist future Today, Pulsar remains loyal to its heritage. It was born to be different and it will remain so. Each Pulsar watch has the hint of the futurism and modernity that have always been its hallmark. Pulsar is a brand for the individual who appreciates real value and seeks quality with individuality and flair. Pulsar World Time Alarm Chronograph. My dream watch for even less than I was ready to pay!
I rarely write reviews, so take note! I used to wear a watch all the time before I got a cell phone, then it just seemed like a waste, so I haven't worn a watch in well over 10 years. I decided it was time (har har) and I was going to get the PERFECT watch. I had some stipulations:Mush haves:DigitalNo garish colors on the watch or band (black or silver, you know? Simple.)Watchband that lays flat when I'm not wearing it.Date and time both highly visible and quick to read at a glance (I don't get why people buy these all black face non-digital watches with black hands, where it takes them about 5-10 seconds to read it.)Not one of these DVD sized giant face watches, but not tiny. I want to be able to see it! That's kind of the point of the thing.A light so I can see it in the dark.Price point under fifty bucks.Nice to haves:Reverse color thingy, where the background is black and the numbers are white. An alarm.Water resistant. So I went to the mall looking at all the JCPenny/Macy type stores, then I saw this beauty at one of those kiosks. It was perfect, love at first site. The guy said it sells for two hundred but they were having a special and I could get it for one twenty. My face fell and I said I was looking to spend just fifty. He pointed me toward the Timex watches from the 1990s and the Marvel character kids watches. I got home and thought, what the heck, let's just check amazon and BAM! HERE IT IS! and it's only thirty! That's like giving away practically. Surely there's a catch. This can't be the watch I was really tempted to spend over a hundred on. But for thirty, I'll give it a shot. It's the same. It's great. It's wonderful. It's exactly what I wanted. No it's BETTER than what I wanted. I don't know what kind of witchcraft this thing uses, but this display is really visible, even in low light. I just got it today and as the sun was setting I walked around my house marveling at all the dimly lit places in which I could still read my new watch. Anyway, this watch is a steal at the price! If this is even remotely what you're looking for, get this one!

Like this, just about the only metal digital watch ...
Like this, just about the only metal digital watch you can buy that doesn't cost a fortune or isn't an original from the early 1980s. Remember the Casios that had the marlin on the face? I had one and wish that it was still around. Everything is made of freaking plastic now days. The mode button is on the left which causes some problems for me, being left handed and wearing it on the right arm. The back of my hand pushes the mode change pusher and when I look down at my watch, I'm staring at a bunch of zeros on the chronograph or something! Also, the battery was depleted when I received it.

Maybe add an after market band!
I Like the watch but feel the band is a little uncomfortable. The display is fine and it is a nice looking watch.

Awesome value.
Like some of the other reviews, I wanted a digital watch that was clean looking and not all goofy and fake-military seal team 6 looking. A watch that is well made, will last and is classy but not pretentious. This an excellent choice for that. The case is solid; not any plastic fake junk. Buttons are excellent. Display is clean and easy to read. It is a little bigger than I was expecting, but I like it. If you have a big wrist/ hand, you will find it a nice size. And for some weird reason, it was less than 30$. Amazing. I am not expecting to buy another watch for a long time.

Disappointing
Poorly designed. The digits are too dim to read easily. Watch is also too heavy and the strap is too narrow. Buttons are not that responsive either.

Great Watch for the price! !
Great watch, for the price. I love the way it looks. The band is a little stiff. I'll wear it with this band for awhile and see if it breaks in. Sometimes they have to be worn for awhile to get use to it.

I really liked this watch
I really liked this watch: the stainless steel case, stopwatch buttons on left side (great for me as I'm left-handed and run with it on right wrist), silicone band was more comfortable than expected, the price made it a great value, BUT: a button fell out within a few weeks of ownership. Seiko Canada support was not effective: despite the warranty, it would have cost me $80 to have them ship it to/from Seiko US (since model is not sold by Seiko Canada), the replacement part could not be purchased outright, so I ended up returning it back to the Amazon.ca vendor, got reimbursed for the purchase price, and replaced it with a non-Seiko product.
