A Fresh Take on Team Power
Title: A Fresh Take on Team Power: A Peek into "The Third Paradigm"Alright, so "The Third Paradigm" isn’t just another business book. It’s like a brisk walk through the dense forest of traditional business models, leading us into this open meadow of co-creation. And let me tell you, the view is spectacular from here. Now, we all know the old-school ways of doing business—it's either cutthroat competition or amiable cooperation. But the authors are stirring the pot with this idea of co-creation, which isn’t just about working together but creating magic together. It’s like they’re giving a nod to our evolutionary journey, recognizing that to move forward, we need to tap into that innate human knack for innovation and collaboration. The book throws around examples like Waze and Kickstarter to show us co-creation isn’t just a fancy theory, but it’s happening right here, right now. It’s like Darwin’s having a little chit-chat with us through the pages, reminding us it’s not the strongest but the most adaptable who thrive. And co-creation is painted as this big, open door to a world of adaptability. The authors aren’t just preaching from the pulpit; they’ve done their homework. They've chatted with over 4,000 business folks to give us a sense of what co-creation looks like when the rubber hits the road. They also weave in wisdom from business bigwigs to spice things up.Whether you're a business leader, an entrepreneur, or just someone looking to jazz up your work life, "The Third Paradigm" is like having a heart-to-heart with the future of the workplace. It’s not just about climbing the ladder, it’s about building a whole new one, together. The narrative makes you feel like you’re not just reading a book, but you’re part of a conversation, a bigger movement towards creating not just a successful, but a meaningful work landscape. So, if you’ve been feeling like there’s got to be more to the work world than the same old, "The Third Paradigm" might just be the fresh perspective you've been waiting for. It’s not just a look into the future of work, it’s an invitation to roll up your sleeves and co-create that future.- Eric Edmeades (Author of The Evolution Gap)

See the Future of the Enlightened Workplace
In The Third Paradigm, the authors take us beyond the two traditional business models of competition and cooperation. They show that an emerging model, co-creation, is what harnesses the full creative power of teams of people and provides a dynamic and transformative model for our emerging society. The reason that co-creation is so much more powerful than the two previous paradigms is that it doesn’t just involve people working together. Instead, it engages them in creating together. The authors use examples like Waze, a navigation app to which millions of users contribute, and Kickstarter, which allows people to crowdfund a worthy project. They borrow a concept from Charles Darwin: It’s not the fittest that survive, it’s those that adapt best to a changing environment. Co-creation allows flexible, responsive, adaptive change.Rather than passive players in an organization, the third paradigm allows people to be co-creators, fostering innovation and harnessing the vision and talents of all the stakeholders. Co-creators aren’t creating value for others; they’re creating value with others. The authors also distill the wisdom from a survey of 4,200 businesspeople to show what co-creation looks like in practice. They further enrich their work with concepts, quotes and ideas from many leading-edge business experts. They also thread a case history throughout the book, telling the story of Richard, a business owner who manages a crisis in his big franchise business by adapting and learning to co-create with all the competing people and ideas in his company.Richard’s learning experience unfolds segment by segment throughout the book, providing a vivid example of co-creation in all its difficult, unpredictable, challenging and yet ultimately revolutionary splendor.Whether you’re part of an organization, leading a team, an entrepreneur, or working in a service agency, you’ll find the concepts of co-creation highly relevant to creating a satisfying and meaningful work experience. These concepts promote forward momentum in your workplace, unlock hidden creative talents in yourself and those around you, and co-create outcomes much larger than even a gifted individual can produce on their own.If you’d like to see the future of the enlightened workplace, you’ll find The Third Paradigm a fascinating crystal ball.Review from Energy Psychology Journal, November 2023 issue.

Great philosophy
Ivan has been a wealth of information and knowledge. He has positively influenced by life. In this book, he does a great job of sharing a new philosophy for getting people to engage in projects through co-creation. It seeks shareholder interest in making something useful. It may not apply for all projects but can certainly be very beneficial. Plus, one of the authors actually used this in their companies. Great case study!

EGBOK - Everything is going to be Ok!
I had the once in a lifetime bit of luck to hear Dr Ivan speak about this book live, JUST as I was about at the half way point in the book.I loved the story interspersed through the book and thought it gave such a memorable touch to the reading of it!My takeaway was; how far in advance did the “fictional character” have to plan to have all the EGBOK buttons ready for that fateful day? Talk about planning in advance! My favorite Ivan book is still “Who’s in Your Room” which I would recommend to EVERYONE but I loved this book as well .
