Surprised I keep coming back
So this is a really weird review I picked this up because I got it confused with gamesir s7 thinking it had a mute button next to the head jack, what I found instead though is both surprising and addicting. I primarily play FPS and specifically warzone. For starters the mic monitoring is very aggressive and substantially more present than turtle beach equipment which was a surprising plus I found myself talking normally through intense firefights because I could hear my own voice over all the terrible sound effects that come with warzone. I sit at a desk and play so the wired thing isn’t an issue. The sticks are very good I actually like the tension in them more than my series 2 elite. The back paddles are so much more engaging than my series 2 as well when you press then there is no doubt you did and it makes a noticeable thunk noise making slide cancelling so much easier. I never had a controller with paddles mounted in the grip like this and it definitely feels as solid as my ps4 scuf impact. It seems lighter than a standard Xbox controller but still has vibration. The best part of the controller though is the grip it’s one of the best Xbox style controllers. I don’t know how to describe it other than saying the grip pulls it into your palm better than any controller I have owned. Overall a great controller but there are a few places it falls down. The trigger stops are a joke maybe reduces 30 percent tops. The d pad is serviceable but wouldn’t want it for any fighting game. The faceplate feels cheap while the grips are generally decent. As mentioned before no mute button but that’s on me. Overall for the price I paid it is great and I find myself coming back to it more often than my elite series 2.

Great Controller
Awesome controller out of the box. No stick drift as I immediately went to test the feel and response of the controller on Halo Infinite. Only thing I wish was purchasing this when it was on sale for $25. I play FPS games and compete. To me this was a great main stay vs the more expensive premium xbox controllers such as the Scuf, Elite 2 etc. The only few problems I had were the sticks seemed a bit smaller in diameter than the standard xbox controller. The thumb grips I use from Best Buy does not have secure fit on them so they slightly rotate around while using them. The RED PADDLES could be a little bit wider or bigger. When I go to grip the controller and press them, it feels a bit short out of reach. Lastly, the tension on the Fire Trigger Pull could be less lighter than what it is currently. I think the feel of them could have been similar and light to the standard xbox controller press. Other than that, worth the buy and months of play.

Punches above its weight
I picked this up because my SCUF Envision Pro has been acting up and I surprised to say this has been a good drop in replacement for my SCUF so far. I initially purchased my SCUF for the trigger locks, well this controller does that too. Granted, the locks are not as nice as they are on the SCUF, but they are still way more functional than when they are unlocked. The controller does feel cheap (it's only $40 after all) compared to my SCUF, but don't let that be your deciding factor. While the controller feels cheap, it functions extremely well for the price. I've taken it through it's paces in Battlefield 2042 and other games and this controller has worked flawlessly so far. Aside from button placement and feel, functionality wise in games this controller goes toe to toe with the SCUF. No, this controller doesn't have as many programmable buttons as the SCUF, but that is actually fine for me. I found the SCUF had to many buttons for my taste anyway (I am looking as you shoulder buttons that I always seem to accidentally press). The SCUF requires custom software to program the buttons, this controller does not. On the SCUF you can program some of the button to keys on a keyboard, you cannot do this on this controller. I don't use the audio jacks on my controllers so I have no idea how that sounds. This is an initial impression of the controller, this is not a review with hundreds or thousands of hours of gameplay on the controller.

Extra Deadzone space
For those looking on console looking for a comprehensive review on all the controller's benefits and cons, this isn't that review for you. I will say how it compares to other 3rd party controllers. And it comes out pretty good. The sound quality is fine, the mic quality is fine, the triggers feel good, and the trigger locks do the job for a $30 controller. The main issue that MIGHT be a deal break for some is the stick dead zone. You have to tilt the sticks a hair more than you would on the first party controller in order to get some response, and they reach their max rotation a little bit quicker as well. This helps ensure that you won't run into stick drift at all, but it does affect responsiveness in games that require precise aiming without aim assist. For example, in a racing game, you won't be responding to turns as easily, which could be of great benefit to avoid spin out, and you will reach max turn easier. But in a game like say Dead by Daylight where there is no aim assist, your aim is going to be a little off because of all the extra dead zone given. The other aspect is that the omni directional left stick DOES have a little bit of an issue with dead zones registering as max input. In a game like Yakuza, I was finding my character cancelling sprint because the game thought I was inputting too far and jogging me between up left and up too frequently. These are nitpicks all in all, and your mileage may vary. For a PC gamepad, this does the job very well. For Xbox, just know the right tool for the toolbox.

Poor quality
I bought one of these years ago and i loved it. This recent one I bought doesn't seem to work right. Many of the buttons don't register you clicking them until you smash them a couple times. The D-Pad is especially bad. It is very "sticky" and when i click to the right it gives input for the down arrow. Also the reason I had to get a new one is because the 3.5mm jack wears out on these and causes audio issues. The price is not bad and maybe like my first one you will get one that lasts a few years but I am not happy with the poor quality of the last one i got.

So far, so good!
So far, so good! I was amazed and happy with how quickly it got set up on and synched with the HP gaming laptop I got! Even with the different games I've played, the controller was not only supported, but also was configured properly, for the most part. No complaints at the moment!

Worked well until it didn't
I love this controller. I was using my elite plugged into my computer, but figured since I was just playing plugged in I should just get a USB one instead of killing my elite's battery leaving it plugged in all the time and let my Elite go back to the living room. Back buttons are awesome. Only one on each side instead of two with the elite, but it works great with a built in, non-software based mapping system. Trigger stops are perfect for fast trigger and ADS. Has a built in stick drift correction system - you can recalibrate the sticks and the trigger pulls if they stop working to spec, again without any software installs. Now the issue is that my right trigger stopped working properly about 2 weeks in (and about 30 hours of Call of Duty, so I admit I wasn't being kind). It started shooting when I wasn't pulling or had released the trigger, and sometimes wouldn't shoot when I pulled the trigger. Obviously an issue in a game reliant on shooting. But a recalibration later, and it's working again. For about a week. Then a recalibration fixes it for about a day. Then an hour. Now I can't go a full game before it starts being wonky. I could probably turn off the trigger stop, but this isn't a racing game, I don't need 200 points of sensitivity and a half inch travel, I need on and off and the shortest version of that possible. So I'm about 40 hours of CoD into this controller and the right trigger wiggles and doesn't do what I want half the time. I've opened a warranty claim and I'll see how that goes and update the review. For now though I've spent $35 on 3/4 of a month's use. The price for the controller is good, but only if it works for longer than a month at a time. But if you're playing less demanding games like Stardew Valley or Peggle, this works great and you won't regret it.
