"can't pair because of an incorrect PIN or passkey" poor connectivity and lack of support knowledge
I bought these two spires, one for me and one for my wife.We were early adopters and I also informed their support of the lack of connection re-try logic early on. they fixed that issue, and the devices for the most part, were able to re-establish connection to the phone, on their own.I used the device a lot, i loved the fact that it gave me feedback when i was writing an email and my breathing got tense etc. I loved to see my focus times, and when it reminded me to get up and walk around.But now 4 weeks ago the device got disconnected from the phone, and when i tried to reconnect it keeps saying "can't pair because of an incorrect PIN or passkey"Well I reset my phone, (factory reset) and still the same message. In fact the Spire app does not even pick up any device at all. in the phone Bluetooth settings you can see the device but when you try to pair it always gives the same message "can't pair because of an incorrect PIN or passkey"I tried on other devices too and the same message. So it is clear the the device is somehow locked by the software...spire app ... and so i contacted their support and they told me to enter the passphrase!!! LOL, there is NO passphrase!!! and the android OS does not give an option to enter a passphrase!! it just shows the message "can't pair because of an incorrect PIN or passkey" and the only option is to click "OK"After going back and forth with their support for over a month, they asked for my invoice and promptly told me that its out of the 1 year support and gave me coupon....Ha!In this competitive world --->Dear Spire, you want to keep loyal customers and not give them the run around, especially when the customer is an early adopter AND the issue is YOUR fault, don't tell me to go and buy a new device.So long Spire, and thanks for all the breaths.

Boyfriend and I got two. Mine worked great. But his didn’t. He had to get a new phone to make it work so be sure to have a phone that has a decent processor. Which means it runs well regardless of apps and information storage. It’s worth it. I am usually pretty calm but it has brought me closer to my body breath and mind. My boyfriend realized how stressed out he really is and made a 360 degree turn around in two weeks. Knowing when we feel tense. Why we feel tense. How to calm down. It’s been great. We don’t really use the boosts but we do use the breathing tool with the green dots that helps tremendously. Customer service was a bit slow in answering which surprised me. When they did respond we got two different levels of service. One guy was kind and considerate. The lady was blunt and almost rude sounding over emails. I highly recommend the customer service staff to be extra careful in how they communicate especially over emails because without customers there is no business. I have worked in customer service all my life and truly appreciate it when I feel cared for as a human and not a number or a Problem. The problem did happen to be with the phone but the level of care and concern was not up to expectations in a growing company. I truly appreciate the product. I highly recommend it. Thank you.

Brings awareness
I purchased this for both my husband and myself. I had to call customer service we only received one. Instead of just send one (the missing pne) they sent two new devices. 🤔In order for this to "work" you must be wearing it and your device the app is on must be near you.You also must open the app once a day for it to "work" properly. 😑On the other hand our children and friends have noticed a difference in us. We both have Post traumatic stress and are using this device to help in moments daily.The notifications are a great reminder to breathe in moments we didn't realize were stressing us out.With that being said. The steps the device counts is NOT accurate. Which makes me wonder if the other setting work like the step counter🤔 we have other devices to track walking/running and they are not even close.

Doesn't really do much... even when it is "working."
Bought a pack of these for Christmas, and my husband and I have worn them for about a week. So far pretty disappointed. It's a lot of beautifully designed packaging and marketing materials, but not much substance. After a couple days, mine starting unpairing just about every day from my iPhone, so I found out late in the day that it hadn't even been tracking. Easy to reset for a couple of days, but today I can't get it back online. When it was tracking, it was telling me that I was almost always breathing normally - only a couple minutes of "tense" in a whole day (which is absolutely not true... believe me). After two hours of sitting in front of my computer, it would only log about 30 min of "sedentary" time. After 30 min of cardio, the step tracker was way off from my fitbit. No buzzing notifications, etc. Seemed like a great idea, and they are lovely and fairly comfortable to wear, but it's a lot of money for a pretty rock. I've emailed customer service and they're responding, so we'll see whether there's any improvement.

I do like it when I have it on
Actually, I do like it when I have it on. The major problem I have with the spire is that it is so easy to lose. It falls off of clothes, makes no sound when taken off to alert the wearer to check to see if it is still attached to a clothing item headed for the washing machine, and is small enough to fall unnoticed. I have set alerts that I thought would notify me when I stop breathing carefully and well but the alerts do not happen when I take it off. So far I have lost all three. It is well worth the price and the app is wonderful but, after buying three at $129 each and and losing each one I can no longer afford to replace this brilliant device.

To have to re-establish the connect is very dumb. Makes this much less of the amazing technology ...
The device stops transmitting data after about 5 or 6 house and you need to re-establish the connect by opening the app. That is a serious incovience. My work day is much much longer than that and depend on life the device doesn't always do on my person at the same time. To have to re-establish the connect is very dumb. Makes this much less of the amazing technology it has the potential of being.
