Works very well. Mic and Speaker sound great. Computer picks it up every time.
This works nicely. Computer picks it up every time. I haven't had any trouble. I work from home and needed an audio out to put on my docking station. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Unexpected Performance... Buy this if you own a MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Apple anything!
I ordered this a while ago but finally got around to using it after I started using Amazon Music's HD streaming through their app. On my 2017 MacBook Pro, the audio output level to external devices such as my AKG K371 headphones has been just okay. After plugging in this easy to use device and giving it a go, I am floored at the amazing sound quality and audio reproduction. It is levels above what comes stock on my MacBook Pro, and I recommend you get it if you're a audiophile! Listening to Fred Again - Marea (We've Lost Dancing) and the highs and lows are faithfully reproduced in its marvelous pro level sound quality! I did a little test to confirm I'm not hearing things so I switched back to my internal output on the MacBook Pro. The comparison is so striking and this product provides the best value for money on the market. I feel like I'm hooked in to an expensive external audio controller! So happy right now....HAPPY!!!

Great..now
Maybe it's just this one but the digital output seems 'choppy' and I am unable to use it. Very nicely made though!**edit**I don't know what the problem was but it seems to work fine now. This after I bought another product..of course. But this is nice metal case, gold plated connector for USB. Having the electronics on a short cable like this takes a lot of strain off your USB port as opposed to the 'cableless' versions. So why did it not work before. Well, lots of variables but I changed ports, connectors, cables, etc. and I can't seem to make it break! So I think you can ignore the previous (original) post. What I must say though is that because of my original low rating, CableCreation contacted me right away and wanted to get to the bottom of the problem. You just don't find this very often for a <$10 product. But I sure won't hesitate to order from them again. Thanks!

Reduces volume level
Purchased this for my daughter to use at school. Unfortunately it greatly reduced the sound volume but luckily she doesn’t need this to use her headphones.

FINALLY! A way to use my mixer for recording again!
I've ordered a half dozen other "adapters" just like this one, and they've all been... well, terrible. The TRS / TRRS audio separator version that plugs into the 3.5mm dual purpose jack on my Macbook DEFINITELY doesn't work. Other USB versions somehow create static and are only occasionally recognized as an audio input.NOT THIS ONE. Microphone plugs into adapter, speakers plug into regular headphone jack on the Macbook and BOOM – perfect audio setup. I've already recorded a full podcast episode with the same quality I used to have on my old rig (with separate microphone input jack). Highly recommend this for anyone struggling with the stupidity of a single audio jack for line-in inputs.

Poor Audio Quality. Mic-In jack doesn't even work
Audio is poor. Mic-In jack doesn't work, and that was the main reason I bought this. One star for only the audio-out jack working.
