This Lorann oil flavoring set has been an absolute hit with a little chef, well on her way to become a confectionary professional. The bottles are tiny and cute, the little droppers make using the set feel like something between a scientific experiment and cooking adventure. The flavors are intense, just by opening the bottle, a whiff of it feels like you are tasting the flavor. A tiny bit makes each batch taste very much like the flavor's namesake. My little friend could not pick a favorite, as they were all very exciting! The foam tray is great for keeping it tidy and manageable with so many flavors. She's made cookies, chocolates, bread like chews, frostings with flavors, and so far all just amazing. The ingredients also seem good quality, safe to share with little ones.

Lorann oils have been my go-to choice for flavoring candies for years. They are super-concentrated, so a one dram (about a teaspoon) bottle is enough to flavor an entire batch of candy. I like using these for hard candies as well as for salt-water taffy and fudge, but they're also great for flavoring frostings, lip balms, and other baked goods. They can withstand high heat, so if I accidentally undercook a batch of candy and realize it after pouring the flavoring, I can sometimes save the batch by cooking it again.I really like that this set of twelve oils comes with an organization tray, four glass droppers, a full set of re-usable stickers and a recipe booklet. Many of the flavors are fruity, but this includes cinnamon, cake batter and peppermint as well. This set would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys baking and candy-making.The only thing I don't like about this set is that it is currently a bit overpriced, in my opinion. At forty-eight dollars, this is much higher than I'd normally pay. I can easily find these oils for less than twenty for a set of twelve, and while the stickers and storage tray are convenient, they aren't enough of a game changer in my kitchen to make it worth the extra investment.
