Don't bin your expanding hose because of leaky connectors. These replacement ones fit. And they're good.
Wow! This works well. I really like the expanding hoses, but I hate the way the connections start leaking - often within a few weeks which renders the expanding hose pretty useless. Standard hose connections aren't the right size, you have to have this type, which are much narrower. When one of my connectors started leaking, I just couldn't undo the connector, so bought this as a replacement. It didn't come with any instructions, but here's how I changed mine:I cut the old connector off the hose. You can see the latex pipe, surrounded by the material.Trimmed a bit off the latex pipe and tidied up the fabric surround - I had to be careful, because it unravels like mad, given the chance. Sharp scissors are essential.Unscrewed the new connector - there's a main body which clips onto the tap, a fixed nozzle, a little plastic gripper and a smaller part that the hose pushes through from the other end.Push the latex pipe and the trimmed fabric in through the thinner end of the new connector. Push the little plastic gripper on the latex pipe first, then push the gripper holding the pipe, onto the nozzle, so that a good bit of nozzle can be seen inside the latex pipe. If you look closely, you'll see two little cutouts on the base of the little plastic gripper. These correspond to two little lugs near the bottom of the nozzle. Line them up so they fit together.Make sure there is fabric going in through the connector, and screw the two parts back together. It took quite a firm push to get the screw thread to meet and engage, but it screwed up all right once the threads of the screw had shaken hands. If it's been done properly, when you connect up to the tap and turn on.. Voila! Job done!!So far, this replacement connector is working really well, no leaks or drips, but I guess it probably won't last forever. But as it's so easy to refit a new connector I'm sending off for a few more of these. Much better than a leaky, useless expanding hose that otherwise might have had to be binned.

Works a treat
Exactly what i was looking for when my stretchy hose had a hole in it. If the hole is not to far down the hose just cut the damaged part off and attach one of these, works a treat.

Expanding hose conector
I had a split in my expanding hose and I was just going to put it in the bin and buy a new hosepipe until I found this on amazon and ordered one didn't think it would solve the problem but for the cost it was worth a try so when it arrived I found it very easy to fit and to my surprise my hose was up and running in a couple of minutes so definitely worth a try and saved me the cost of buying a full new hosepipe.A very satisfied customer Kevin

having gardening being one of the the things my dad loved, he didn't have a decent hose
My mum bought an x hose for my dad a year or so before she heartbreakingly passed away may 15,having gardening being one of the the things my dad loved,he didn't have a decent hose,so she bought him a good one...but over the last year things have started to wear, and the nozzle had gone on the x hose..I bought this for my dad to repair the hose,so it's still functionable, but it's still a beloved present off my mum.

Excellent product and good delivery service Ideal for replacing damaged ...
Excellent product and good delivery service Ideal for replacing damaged leaking or cheap connectors.I would not recommend buying as I did 2 connectors and a joiner to repair a hose that had blown apart I spent several hours feeding the inner hose into the outer sleeve and fitting the connectors only to find that each of the hoses blew apart leaving me with 4 hoses of different lengths and so I bought a new hose

Wait and see
I cannot really give this product a full review these have been fitted but as anybody knows who uses the hose regularly it's not the fitting but the use ,I'm hoping because we are both clumsy and tend to drop things that the hose ends will hold up so far so good
