Good value and quality.
I'd wanted a pair of trekking poles for stealth camping with a trekking pole tent and, being black, these were perfect. I had concerns that the cheap price meant that the quality was no good but they seem as sturdy as my dearer, but bright blue, poles. Exactly what I wanted.

They do what they say they will do.
I brought these walking poles to help with my knees when walking down hill. They were properly tried and tested when me and my husband used them to walk up Snowdon. We found it better to have the poles higher and they worked very well on the descent supporting our knees and helping keep our grip on the stoney, slate pathways. The only slight niggle I have is one of the poles under tightened itself which made it tricky to extend but once we realised what the problem was it stayed in place. Good value for money and prompt delivery.

Bargain!
Never used walking/ hiking poles before.Recommended due to Osteoarthritis. Didn’t want to spend a lot of money on first ones in case I didn’t like them or found them of little use.Pleasantly surprised. Extremely easy to assemble. Line up with recommended markers according to height.(Don’t rush this or over extend) simple twist action to tighten and lock in place. I started with pole nearer to handle first. I used these on a walking / hiking trip in Yorkshire.Used on various terrain. Hills, Grass, Gravel, muddy, sometimes wet, uneven surfaces.crossing small streams over rocks and some Cave exploration. Can’t recommend enough. Absolutely bargain.Gave me the confidence to manage my varied walks/hikes without fear of slipping or falling. Enabling me to feel much steadier and not aching as usual. Definitely takes the pressure of the joints. My only wish I’d bought them sooner.

Well one works OK. ( or I thought it did)
When walking our ginormous Newfypoo on her lead, most of the time she is quite well-behaved, unless she spots a cat up close and personal, then it is like finding yourself suddenly attached to a space shuttle launch! In order to prevent myself from being pulled over, I bought an extending walking stick, but felt it was somewhat shorter than I needed and made me look older and even more doddery than I actually am. So I decided to invest in these walking poles, as they convey a slightly more hiking impression, rather than a doddery old soul. I was somewhat in trepidation, as I had read the reviews and many people seem to have struggled with getting them to lock at the desired length. (same here). The first one I tried, just wouldn't lock, the other one was relatively well behaved and did lock as it should. The "instructions" are non-existent for any practical purpose. Fortunately I only need one pole to dig in and prevent a manic Newfpoo from toppling me.UPDATE: When I actually put any weight on what I thought was the good pole, it slowly folded up. So I requested a return on these poles.

Excellent service
When I received the item there was a part missing. So I got in touch with amazon, who put me in touch with the company. And WOW the level of service was over and above what i ever expected. Michelle couldn't apologies enough. And sent me a complete new item next day delivery. And an email saying I could keep the other set for spares. Thank you .The walking poles are sturdy and lightweight they are adjustable with a compass in the top and interchangeable ends for different terrain. All in all a good piece of equipment from a fantastic company

Excellent, but perhaps avoid if you're tall
These are excellent hiking poles. Would highly recommend. Particularly at the price. I've been hiking across South America and have used these poles extensively (particularly useful for Cotopaxi volcano and the four day hike around Laguna quilatoa). The antishock has been particular helpful in some of the more rocky areas allowing me a little more stability. If anyone is wondering why to bother with sticks at all, I've found two main benefits;- it really helps with posture. If you're walking with a large pack and you're starting to fatigue you may find that you natural start to hunch (I certainly did), the poles help to keep you upright- going down steep hills; this wasn't something I thought about before I left but going down steep inclines (the side of a volcano for example) is actually very tough. Especially where it's rocky, it's very easy to tumble down, the sticks help a lot with keeping you on two feet. These sticks are an absolute bargain, they are incredibly lightweight? So great if you're thinking of them stowing them in a backpack when you're done.If you are tall, however, it may be better to go for something else. I am 1.7m and use these at their full extension so anyone taller would need longer poles. Especially if you want to use them for posture. The reason for four stars rather than five is that they don't fold up particularly small. I had to lie them diagonally across my suitcase (standard medium size, bigger than hand luggage) and they just fit, so if you're looking to travel with anything smaller it might be a bit of a squeeze

Absolutely amazed
2024 product at 1960s prices, as they were relatively cheap I wasn't expecting too much but I was absolutely amazed by the quality of the poles , they are made really well, feel strong and comfortable and look great, I couldn't be happier.
