Fish life
The Clarity of the screen is great, there are many great functions along with easy use. It fits perfectly above our steer wheel in the boat. This was 1 of my top 5 purchases for this year.

Works perfectly, now I just have to learn how to read it.
Love it. So much data. Fish finders are not just plug and play, there is a bit of a learning curve to them. But I am a nerd and am watching tons of YouTube videos on how to properly use a fish finder. I even hooked up a second 2D skimmer Transducer for sonar and speed readings at speed...though they only seem to work up to about 15 MPH. Still working out the kinks. Beautiful tool though.

Easy to set up
I bought this unit to replace a Lowrance with similar features. After the second transducer failure in two years on the Lowrance I decided to try The Humminbird Helix. I immediately noticed the graphics were clearer and the printed numbers were larger and easier to read. Initial setup was a simple process and largely intuitive. The GPS and mapping work great. The transducer was more robust and much less vulnerable to damage than the Lowrance product. The only negative is the plastic, break away transducer mount. The idea is good, to have the transducer swing up when it meets an obstruction. However at speed, particularly in shallow river water the mount breaks loose under water pressure and dangles from the electrical cord. There is a stainless steel mounting bracket available which Ilan to install. At this point I am very pleased with the performance of this instrument.

Fish finder: Cause this is what the hubby wanted, says he absolutely needed it lol. Not going to lie or sue us nice. Great graphics very accurate Map feature: You won't get lost very impressive
