This mug is 1/3 of the price of the Ember mug. I've had 2 Ember chargeable mugs and both of them quit working in 6-7 months. The contact on the base just quits working and it can't be repaired. This mug may not be rechargeable but everything about it is better.

Once the birthday girl opened it, big hit!! Then we assembled it AND……it didn’t work. Because this was a 3rd party shipper, they were going to charge me $20 to return it. Called Amazon and they remedied it.Now, the birthday girl is in bliss because her coffee is always hot , and her phone and watch can be easily tossed on the warmer to quick charge while she is sipping her coffee and working.

This mug is exactly what I was looking for, and I highly recommend this mug! I’ve always wanted a mug warmer since my water and tea cool down so quickly, especially during winter, and it’s also not easy to constantly replace my cold water with hot water when I’m working in the office. I wanted to find a fair-priced one with decent quality, and this mug perfectly fit so well to my needs. I was debating whether to buy a black or white mug, and I’m glad that I got a white one. I love the simple & minimalist design, and the packaging was very neat, pretty, and thoughtful as well. It’s visible that the designers cared about not only the mug itself but also the packaging. I really appreciate that aspect, and I think it would be a perfect gift option because of that:) I’m also very satisfied with the size and capacity of the mug. It’s a bit bigger than a regular/small mug size and that’s what I wanted. I was concerned about forgetting to pull out the power cord when I leave the office and had a huge relief when I learned that it has 8 hours auto sleep. Can’t wait to try hot chocolate in this mug during the Christmas season!!

I was looking for something to keep my coffee hot without breaking the bank. I don't need Bluetooth, and don't want a hot plate, this is perfect. It can heat up your drink in a few minutes when cold and charge your phone (wireless charging) when not in use. The mug is a unique style and looks attractive on the base, perfect for the office desk. I've seen reviews that it stopped working for some. I have used it daily for over a month with the included charger without any issues. My box said it was version 2, so maybe those issues have been resolved. Make sure and use the charger it comes with; it requires more power than your computer USB can supply.

From some of these reviews it looks like some didn’t read directions. A white blinking light means it’s not properly contacted on the bottom for the mug to warm the coffee. You cannot adjust temp of the heating element like you could with an ember mug bit it’s not needed. Ember mugs aren’t ceramic (there are) and don’t feel like a good good cup. I prefer this over the ember and it’s too bad I can’t find it anymore. I own 2 and wanted to add a third. The wireless charging feature was an added bonus.
