I bought this fold up one for my daughter to keep in her guitar case, and it keeps her nails very tidy.I chose ceramic over glass or other materials because it is just superior. it has a tapered edge and grooves either side, and also a larger groove. I have tried most files as i have very poor nails which split and the ceramic is best for reducing the splintery nail edge.

There are groves that guide the .filing action. I am not so taken with the thickness of the blade and the serrations that do the filing clog so that the blade needs to be cleaned after each session and sometimes during the session. Good value for money.

I love this file
I love this file. Ceramic files are my favourite and are quite hard to find so I was really pleased when I came across this one. I got one for myself and 3 more for presents!
