I live where the pavement gets super hot. I tried bigger, heavier booties on my pittie mutt, and she was a good sport, but she had trouble walking in them and wouldn’t pee. They were unwieldy. But these were easy to use, stayed on, and didn’t seem to distract or worry her. Win!

When the sock doesn’t twist, it works well to give my dog extra traction on the wood floor. The sock twists within 5 minutes usually. He’s then left with the sock, part which is more slippery than his bare paw. This was my first try with socks for him, so I learned that socks can be helpful and I’ll keep looking.

I looked at dozens of boots and socks for my little guy. Most of them are for snow or just for looks. He needs something that will actually stay on and protect his paws. He had a back injury and was slated to be euthanized at the shelter. He couldn't use his back legs at all. He was rescued and they found he has spinal degeneration and had a pinched nerve. Now he is learning to walk again and his back paws drag and become bloody. These are the only pair of socks/boots that stay on. They also come in extra long with dogs with more narrow paws. The customer service was amazing when I called to ask advice and question. These are truly essential for any dog who has paw issues.

These socks have made a great deal of difference in my dog's life. They really have given her much more stability and traction and enabled her to move around with more comfort. I would recommend them to anyone whose animal is having difficulties with knee or hip stability.

Our 16 year old dog has hip dysplasia and we moved into a new apartment with particularly slick wood floors. It has been a disaster. Purchased these for his hind legs and now he has grips. He is not slipping and sliding anymore. Truly great. I followed the directions in terms of measuring and the size ordered was based on the measurement. Fit perfectly.

I used these socks for my older dog a few years back and they really were comfortable forbher and stopped the slipping on the floors. I ordered more recently for my Pit Bull which is helping her and if you spray them with Scotch Guard they can be used in cold weather, snow and ice.

They came off just going from one end of house to the next, they were snug on the feet, but they were off. Also I had not read the whole add, if you want to try you pay to ship back, and restocking fees on their end, but they were great to work with as far as getting them back to them.

These socks not only come off, but they turn so that the gripping part is not even on the bottom of paw.Save your money and get throw rugs. They work better!
