NICEYRIG Camera Cheese Plate Switching Easy Plate Applicable for Railblocks, Dovetails, Short Rods

Awesome but I needed to buy some 5mm by 12mm screws to mount to my Podtrak p4 bracket I bought on Etsy. It is nice they furnish scews/nuts etc but this plate is a "universal" olate. It is designed to be screwed or bolted to just about anything. Took me a few minutes at the hardware store to find the right size combinations but I finally got it. To be truly universal one would need to furnish a box of varying sizes and lengths of bolts and styles to fit what you need. Since they don't go bring it to your hardware store down the isle of individual pieces and muddle through and find what works with both your plate and what you are attaching it to. I am t'd that it was suggested by the Etsy seller. I would assume it would work with the provided screws or with the screws for the belt clip. Neither worked. So no diminishing stars for that because the two sellers and manufacturers are not directly correlated. I have attached the plate on the bracket to a generic NEEWER Portable Desktop Mini Tripod which has the build quality of a Manfroto. Light but dense. Will keep the recorder in a position I can work on it, stable and reduced vibration so that I can safely record without vibration. Not only does the tripod head move in about any direction to position it where I need but the plate is versatile enough to have it on almost any head or attach to about any position to help you work. Good for the price. I just needed to spend about 7 dollars in nuts and washers (6 each so I had spares if I lost any) to put it all together.

Literally the only problem with this mounting system is that I can't say "cheese plate" without wanting actual cheese. This is a must-have if you're using any sort of photography-compatible mounting gear. I've built an entire art workstation, including a boom-mounted tablet, with that kind of gear, and this cheese plate is just the right size for me to turn one attachment point into several.

I purchased this plate to mount a thunderbolt dock behind my monitor. I used a smallrigs articulating arm and a swivel adapter attached to the plate. The dock is secured with an elastic velcro strap run through the long slots. This is the only plate I could find that fulfills this purpose exactly as I intended. The quality is top notch. I have zero complaints.

Got this to organize my astrophotography electronics. The plate is well machined and very fairly priced. The NICEYRIG products are worth looking into. The photo shows the plate with Pegasus Pocket Power, ASIAIR plus, SmallRig clamps and SVBONY Synta clamp.
