Q: The description tells me comes with 4 oz solvent but the pictures shows a 2 oz bottle. Which is correct?

I'm answering this question with a question. I just ordered this and it clearly says 4 ounce bottle. "Hoppe's No. 9 cleaning kit with aluminum rod is a pistol kit intended for .38/.357 caliber and 9mm pistol. Includes one 4 oz. bottle cleaning solvent and one 2-1/4 oz. lubricating oil. Brush for the intended caliber is included with this kit." As can be seen from what I just copied and pasted. So why the misleading description?

Q: Is the handle supposed to be loose?

Yes it allows the patch or brush to rotate with the rifling in the barrel as you push it through.

Q: Does it work on a 380?

Yes, I bought it for two Black Powder guns, a .36 and .44 it works fine for both, except it's a little short for the 7 1/2" barrel on the .44.
