Sturdy rod for local grounds
This is a very solid 4' grounding rod. It's not copper, as others have noted, but copper-clad. As such, it's not really suitable for permanent grounding of a house, or something like that. However, for my situation, which is to occasionally ground a generator, it should be more than sufficient.Construction of the rod seems pretty sturdy, which, given it's steel or some similar metal coated in copper, makes sense. I appreciate the little tabs on the top, which prevent the clamp with the wire from slipping off; I don't recall the last ground rod I bought many years ago having that, and it's a nice touch. The grounding wire is more than long enough for my purposes, and comes zip-tied to the rod. That'll make storage a bit easier until the ground thaws enough for me to actually install this.Overall, if you're not using this to ground a lightning rod or your house, this seems like a great option for when you need a local ground!

Useful for grounding generators
For safety, one should make sure the metal frame of a portable generator is grounded. This 4' copper-clad rod is great for just such a temporary grounding point. It can be buried deep enough into the ground to offer good protection from stray current, but since its clad, not solid copper, it'll have a shorter lifespan than the pure copper rod, but its easier to get into the soil. I'm okay with that tradeoff. I'll only be burying this rod when I need to run my generator after a power outage, such as from a hurricane. If a hurricane is coming, I'll pre-place the rod several days before the storm strikes. I'm pleased with it's size, construction, and design.

Good to go!
Got this for a ham radio antenna to ground it. Easy to use, and so far, works good. No complaints.

not copper
This is a pretty good grounding rod for light use such as grounding an antenna pole, but as other people mention, it's certainly not suitable for real electrical systems in the home or anything like that. But it'll be great for my antenna, for sure! One thing I don't love is that this thing is 100% steel, or some sort of ferrous metal. Every part of it is magnetic. The rod, the wire, the set screw, the bracket, all of it. I have posted photos showing a magnet stuck to each different part. So this is not copper anything, it's all copper washed metal. I guess that'll help reduce oxidation, but the increased conductivity of copper is what I really wanted, and copper-wash isn't going to make that happen. But like I said, it'll work for my purposes, and being a smaller size than the normal big ones they use for houses, it'll be easier to install. Overally I like it, but considering nothing on it is copper, it's a bit overpriced I think.

Easy Install & Plenty of Copper Wire
I have a solar generator in my off-grid cabin that provides power to the entire cabin and I wanted a ground rod for the generator. This rod was perfect. It was easy to install and had plenty of copper wire to reach the location of my generator inside the cabin. I would get this again if needed.

Very excited
I'm at this gardening thing. I'm attempting to grow my own food. The results are preliminary but i'm excited to see what develops. Does ground and wire is supposed to help with your garden growth immensely. I'm excited and wish I could report back.

Good quality grounding rod. Very useful.
I got this Grounding rod to do a DIY grounding bed. It goes down in the ground nice and easy due to the arrowed end (Take off the plastic protector). I like that it is built to connect the 10 feet of wire that came with it. On the pole is a clamp for the wire and above and below are bumps that come out. These both ensure the clamp doesn’t slide off and I also think it helps for connectivity if you place the wire touching them. The whole thing is heavy duty equipment- the wire is thick but pliable so that you can bend it in the direction you need. Really happy with this. I see no reason to not give it 5 stars.
