Be sure to test the colors first
Stone absorbs the stain well. The stain is very thin and using a torn piece of sea sponge worked better for me than applying with a spray bottle. Be sure to test the color on a couple of stones and wait to see the final result in the morning. Claude AI recommended using the blue-gray October Sky on the rust colored stones and I should have tested first. It produced a purple toned mauve color (red + blue = purple) and I had to go back and color correct a lot of stones. The photo shows two sides of the stone wall treated with the Dove color stain, a 1:1 mix of Dove & October Sky for highlights, and some acrylic craft paints that I diluted with water. The front of the stone wall is the original orange color and gets treated next, and then will apply sealer.

There are better solutions out there
Very small coverage was a waste of money I ended up using concrete resurrection.with an eight ounce bottle I was able to cover my 15 x 15 twice and some!!!

Works great
Can mix and layer to get right color if you are trying to match a cut-out or other spot. Just seal afterwards, as it will fade without sealant.
