Pricey but good quality and long cable - this is the one I have by the sofa so anyone can charge

This cable came nicely packed and immediately gave the impression of a high quality premium product. Indeed it incredibly well made and there is absolutely nothing more I could have asked for in terms of build quality. It can support up to 240W, though I've not had any device which would put it through its paces on that one. The trade off for this higher power capacity is that the cable is somewhat thicker than lower powered cables. Interestingly, it has a T-junction layout with both USB-C and lightning connector. I've had it charging USB-C laptops and android phones with no issue. The lightning connector works well for both an iPhone 13 Pro as well as a 2nd Gen iPad Pro 12.9. The big downside here is that you cannot plug both devices in at the same time, mainly because any one device device will block the ability for another to connect (I've uploaded a picture to illustrate). There's also a technically neat feature where a metal prong comes out of the other connector to prevent two devices plugging in at once (even if you were able to space wise). Overall this is a well made cable, however it's really expensive at £40 at time of review. Also, it's inability to plug two devices in at once is a bit offputting given other cheaper cables can achieve this. However if you're afetr something which can handle over 100W, and you're after something with good quality construction and don't mind paying a premium, then this could work for you.

So mine has suffered from the very problem I was trying to avoid! The cable is coming apart from the terminals after normal but regular use. This happens with normal regular chargers so why and what did I spend £40 for!? I am now using car electrical tape to hold it in place and when I need to charge something I have to angle the cable the right way as I may have broken wires. I truly believed in this product til now. I also can’t think of an equivalent to purchase next.

This charging cable (Model Name: “Belt Cable Duo Pro”) arrives well packed and presented in a nice looking, good quality, Native Union branded, cardboard box. The presentation is more than good enough should you be wishing to give this item as a gift. Inside the box is the cable itself (secured in a coil by a faux-leather cable tie), a Cable Care Guide leaflet, and Warranty leaflet. The cable itself is well made, and despite being made from mostly recycled materials, feels very high quality and robust. The cable It is precisely 2.4m long from tip of connector to tip of connector, and has a diameter of 0.5cm. I received the “Cosmos” version, and really like the way it looks. The stippling effect along the length of the cable is subtle, allowing the cable to remain discrete. The connectors are also well made and feel robust. Their built-in strain relief does a good job of protecting the cable. At one end of the cable is a USB Type-C connector and at the other is both a Lightning connector and USB Type-C. This double ended connector has a unique slider mechanism, that when you plug it into a Lightning port, automatically cuts power to the USB-C connector, and vice versa. A plant based faux-leather cable tie is attached to the cable, allowing you to securely coil it up when not in use, and help with cable management when being used. In use the cable worked very well and coiled with everything I threw at it. I tested it on both Apple (Lightning and USB), Android, and other USB devices. There were no physical issues with plugging the connectors in and out, and the cable had no issues with PD charging. Whilst I wasn’t able to test to its full maximum of 240W, it delivered as expected up to 120W in my tests. In conclusion, this is a very good quality cable, that is built well, looks great, delivers on its specifications, and should last a long time. It is especially useful for those who need the ability to use both a Lightning connector and USB-C connector (albeit not at the same time). The only negative is the price. Despite the quality, I can’t help feeling the current price of £39.99 (Feb 24) it is a tad too high. If you want a high quality cable that is environmentally friendly, and can afford it, then it is worth it, but those on a budget can get equal performance for less elsewhere. ~ Ethics Statement: Amazon provided me with this product and asked that I give my honest and impartial opinion about it. Used sparingly for 9 months and the wire has already stopped working. It was for a spare bedroom which has hardly been used. iPhone’s don’t charge, laptops don’t charge and even power banks don’t charge with this wire. Ridiculous for such an expensive wire. A shame because I liked the look and length of the wire

Charging has always been fast and reliable, whether I’m using it with a laptop, tablet, or phone. 👍🏼 For the quality you’re getting, I think it’s well worth the money. Native Union nailed both the form and function with this one. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if you’re tired of flimsy cables that fall apart.

5 mois après l'achat, la sortie USB C ne fonctionne plus. pour ce prix là, c'est très décevant.

À défaut de la prise universelle, ce câble bi tête est le compagnon idéal lors de tout déplacement, bonne longueur et solide, seul le prix est excessif pour un câble mais les qualités sont indéniables, donc un bon rapport qualités/prix. Très recommandé pour un usage nomade.
